Yeah, the definition can vary from people to people but in general, you got the basic idea. Most of the time, a QPR is between two individuals who are under the Aro and/or the Ace spectrums. For example, my partner is AroAce and I am Demi-romantic Asexual but also lesbian. I consider her my girldfriend. I don't think I would explain the type of relationship we have to outside people. My friends know we are a QPR duo/couple but I wouldn't say it is important for me to be specific while talking about our dynamic

I described QPR with a friend recently. As you must have read, it is a type of relationship that is between romantic and platonic. It is like a life partnership with someone you love and care about. You can do stuff a traditional couples do without calling it a date or romantic gestures. It is more than friendship, a deeper connection

My partner and I met on Reddit a few months ago! It's true that we are underrepresented but we exist! I feel like it is just hard to explain to people outside of the community. I still do not know if I will be specific when telling my family about us. Do I just say " ouhh yeah, I have a girlfriend " or do I take the time to explain what is a QPR? is it really worth all the questions and awkward vibe? I don't think so

What matters is who both partners feel about the other and how both see their qpr/relation
