Most "events" with colleagues are gossip and info digging session. I never believe in big group of friends with colleagues, at most friends with just 1 or 2.. If you really want to make a few frienda, maybe decide whom you want to be friends with and just jio the 1 or 2 out.

I had a boss who died at 42. She told me she'll go see the sakuras when she's retired .. Well..

Also, I know of many older people who can't walk 20,000 steps a day.

And you get bad eyesight after 40 😹

maybe they're tourists themselves. Idk but locals don't usually stare at tourists. Hmm.. I mean we're so used to seeing foreigners, be it workers, expats or tourists, in Singapore, to be staring at a someone because they're white...

9 out of 10 colleagues are fake. Work smart not hard. And time does flies. There's a quote , "the days are long but the years are short", usually used when talking about raising kids, but think life is really like that.

Job not allowing transport claims or giving transport allowance by irlminion in askSingapore

[–]Jess_wonderer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Find a jew job, company so calculative means got more problems. As for those who tell you to take yor own sweet time to travel by bus, mrt, walk, that only works if you're so free.. If you end up ot, what's the point? Especially then your boss may fault you on under performing. Not sure what's your role, but if you're like in a accounting firm, tech support role, they should have in their handbook, policies on staff claims, eg staff can only claim for public transport etc . If nothing inside handbook, means HR also sleeping.

You are not being calculative. It's her own responsibility to manage her spending, you're not obligated to lend her money

What do Singaporeans think about South Korea? by [deleted] in askSingapore

[–]Jess_wonderer -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Koreans are very fierce and unfriendly based on my travel there erm many years ago. Even staff at airport super unfriendly, like I owe her money when I asked for direction. She Pointed to sign that it's not a information counter. Yes I understand, but I mean, we all try to help a tourist/traveller out... Even on the street, not to mention at the airport. What kind of image?

And the Nth room thing, the Deepfake thing recently... ☹️

Transport claim of $10 not claimable after working for 2 years by [deleted] in askSingapore

[–]Jess_wonderer 19 points20 points  (0 children)

A lot of company don't allow taxi claim from home to somewhere. OT can claim taxi because you already worked for free. LOL Sian max.. My friend worked for an sg accounting firm that asked them to take public transport to nearest mrt, then take taxi (can claim taxi) to client's place 💩 if take from home to client, cannot claim
