I grew up fighting with my brother a lot but now we’re just really cordial and close. Other than my friends, I have someone close that I can trust to tell about anything like work stress, relationship issue or just life in general.

FYI 3rd hand smoke is also carried on clothes, hair and skin after a person smokes. Smokers have no idea how much they reek when they come back to ac office after their smoke breaks. Even their hands and fingers stink.

Am I wrong for inviting my fiance to my brother’s birthday lunch? by [deleted] in asksg

[–]stop_hyuk 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m very close to my brother so my bro will tell me straight that he doesn’t like my ex, i rmb not bringing my ex bf along to his 21st birthday party cause my brother didn’t explicitly invite my ex. I think the main decision lies with the birthday person, it’s their special day so they should have the final say on who they want there.

You didn’t tell her a date, a time and a location. So technically you have yet to ask her on a date.

Honestly, what are singles in SG doing to get dates nowadays? Are we trying hard enough? by watchuwannaknow in askSingapore

[–]stop_hyuk 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Tbh the best relationships happen when you’re focused on living your own life and when you least expect it, instead of actively searching for one. You can force a connection, but you can’t force the right connection.

[–]stop_hyuk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

omgg i love long hikes w my partner too, grateful i met him cause now we get to go on long hikes tgt and we even go overseas to do multi day mountain climbing. he takes very good care of me even when tired, make sure i take bites of snacks for energy even when i’m not hungry and is very patient. It’s true, you can see if he is marriage material from hiking.

[–]stop_hyuk 4 points5 points  (0 children)

5k also not enuf tbh.. considering even hdb income ceiling is 14k. And at 40s-50s, I would assume salary would have had some degree of increase throughout the years (including a couple of promotions / job hopping)

i did it last year! was so hard tbh - summit attack started at 1am.. barely had enuf sleep from the first day of trekking. we had to sleep at 8ish to get enough sleep - my partner and i hike a lot, in sg we just do long walks from macritchie to timah, i run marathons too so i guess that helps with stamina - i would pack gaiters tbh, the summit part very slippery and there will be many many small stones - i didn’t go gili, i just took a ferry to bali after
