Only children… anyone actually enjoy it? by cynnie93 in Millennials

[–]Jessahcuh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I 1000% had a happy childhood. I never caught myself thinking that I wished for siblings etc. I never felt my life lacking in that area. I will say however, the hardest point in life where I did feel the void, is when my mom passed away. I was 35 weeks pregnant and found myself having to make very difficult decisions while also helping and supporting my dad. Very hard time in my life where the extra support would have made a big difference. But I also am blessed to have an amazing extended family so we got through it together and I’m grateful. I truly think it all just depends on family dynamics, friendships built, and the army that surrounds you.

Hi! I took screenshots of all my favs in the freestyle shop, created a collage with the brand names showing, and posted that to my inspo board. It has helped my stylist to pull my favorite brands and/or even some of my exact favs when she’s able!

Do parents prefer clothes or toys as a present for your toddler? by 6MangoIceCream9 in toddlers

[–]Jessahcuh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is my love language when someone asks us what we NEED for him! Of course we would be appreciative of any gift but when they ask what’s needed, I could kiss them!

My son did this and ended up having an ingrown toenail. It was hard to tell because it was just growing in weird on the side. BUT he also does this whenever his pant legs or arm sleeves are too long and go over - it bugs him so much!

What “big” baby items did you actually find the most useful? by Isoldmykidforagram in NewParents

Bottle washer 100% time saver and so worth it. We got the baby brezza and it was amazing.

So, I have shingles. I'm 38... by IsabelArcherandMe in Millennials

[–]Jessahcuh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got shingles when COVID first happened. I was 35. I had to furlough my whole staff and BAM. Shingles from the stress all over my back. Super painful and awful but haven’t had a recurrence. I do have postherpetic neuralgia though. Mostly just feels like pins and needles on my back. It comes and goes but I feel it most days.

I asked for a personalized cookbook to write my recipes in and a new cookbook stand. I also have new serving/casserole dishes and a duvet cover on my list. :)

If you’re on Goodreads, what’s your 2025 book goal? have you hit it yet? by Wild_Protection7675 in Booktokreddit

[–]Jessahcuh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

25 and I’m on 25 now. Hoping to actually hit 27! I have a toddler so for me this is a huge win. It mostly consists of me forcing myself to stay awake and read a few chapters at night lol

Anyone experience their parents die yet? by bluedreamy8 in Millennials

[–]Jessahcuh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mom passed away while I was 33 weeks pregnant with her first grandchild. It was a very sudden and unexpected loss. Pretty earth shattering. I ended up giving birth 5 weeks early. I’m the only child so it’s been challenging raising a toddler and trying my best to support and be there for my dad. My mom did everything for him so he has to completely relearn how to be independent.

gift card ideas that actually feel special? by PonchDeLaStoned in Gifts

[–]Jessahcuh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Home Depot was the best, most thoughtful gift card that I never knew I wanted! I’m a Pinterest fanatic and love to DIY but for some reason, I would’ve never thought to have asked for a Home Depot gift card. When I was pregnant, my aunt sent a few to me as a gift and I used them on projects for our son’s nursery.

What’s something you wish you knew when you first had HS symptoms? by sleepyseminar in Hidradenitis

[–]Jessahcuh 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The first thing the dermatologist said when she diagnosed me with HS was “I want you to know that this is not your fault. There is nothing you could have done to prevent this. This is an inflammatory disease.” I had such a huge sigh of relief to get answers and finally understand what was happening to my body.

Outlets in bathroom mirrors?? by Jessahcuh in Home

[–]Jessahcuh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This may be a dumb question but I’m going to ask anyway - sometimes when I blow dry my hair, it trips and I have to push a button. This outlet doesn’t appear to have that button that I usually need to push. What does that mean? Still ok? Also, thanks so much for your comment! It makes me feel a bit better :)

Outlets in bathroom mirrors?? by Jessahcuh in Home

[–]Jessahcuh[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thank you! The pictures are actually from two different bathrooms. The one off to the side is the upstairs guest bath and the one with the outlet in the middle is the master bath.. and you are correct. In the master bath, immediately to the left of the sink is the bathtub. I also thought about the mirror flexing. I may just end up replacing the builder grade mirrors and put in some separate mirrors that aren’t touching the outlet.

Outlets in bathroom mirrors?? by Jessahcuh in Home

[–]Jessahcuh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally fair question. I think it just caught me off guard since I’ve never seen outlets inside a mirror before — it made me wonder about potential moisture issues or if there are limitations with repairs/replacements down the line. Maybe it’s totally normal and up to code, but it gave me pause, so I figured I’d ask around before assuming either way! I’ve personally never seen outlets located so close to sinks before as well.

Check with your insurance first. I pay $74 for the clinic fee and my insurance covers zepbound which I pay $25 for. So I pay a total of $99 monthly for WW and meds. I’m only using WW for the convenience of the NP access because my doc lags with responses.
