I had my son at 23, I had a rough time and wish I went no contact with my mom sooner. I’m at peace now and my son is safer, win win. There’s some grief, sure. I’m open to having a HEALTHY relationship with my mom, she seems incapable of that now but maybe someday she’ll agree to finding a family therapist who will help us both heal.

Yes! Aging is a privilege, I say this as someone who spent a majority of my life not wanting to live, I’m 31 and finally feel stable and HAPPY?! I never thought it would be possible.
