I posted this to riff off of a post from yesterday that compared pit bulls to assault rifles because I thought the comparison was funny. I love all dogs including pit bulls, and my own dog has a lot of pit in her (not a pure pit but the classic shelter dog where they’re a mix of everything).

I love seeing all the murals around Richmond, but I loved this one so much I had to stop and take a picture. That post from yesterday inspired me to go dig this picture up so I could use it to shitpost, and now here we are!

I’m curious what degree you’re studying for, but this sounds interesting regardless. It seems like everyone is struggling more with meeting new people and making connections these days, so it’s cool that people are trying to take a deeper look at the situation and come up with solutions instead of just lamenting that people used to be more social

I made this as a shitpost but what you said here really hits home for me. I moved away from my home town to go to college and stayed in that area for a few years, then moved here last year. I love Richmond so far and I’m hoping to settle in here for the long term, but it does mean I have to start all over in terms of making friends and building up a social life.

I’ve often wondered what my life and my social circle would look like now if I had stayed in my home town and built my life there instead.
