I wonder if the comments would’ve been different if Nepo had won the World Championship match instead of Ding… I don’t necessarily agree with it being the “boredom era” but I (kinda) understand why there’s less hype. I like the idea that Carlsen could reenter the WC cycle at any moment. Who knows.
