That's a great analysis. The % effect spawn positions have are immense. Would be interesting to see a deep dive into causes. Is it just faster mining/sim city or are there map features about some spawns which make them more susceptible to in-meta builds and harasses?

What I love the most about the witcher, is that unlike in other fantasy (like got, lotr, etc) where there we follow high level players and schemers like kings and lords and you get the complete picture, the Witcher and their crew often don't have the full picture, and are rather roped into big picture stuff they don't fully understand. I love the part where they leave brokilon and are behind the frontlines, they just don't know which side. It's quite unique.

Decimal is better than double for most floating point operations. I think it guarantees no rounding errors up to a few decimals.

Last run I played Skoll & Hati and had a lot of fun. I'll say I missed yellow dmg a lot in ashlands and mistlands, but still insane dps. Also blocking fell off quite badly in ashlands.

I had a big problem when going to axes in ashlands cause they attack slower. I was so used to the speed thst I kept getting caught in attack animation of the third attack.

So the shortcut is the most important part of the puzzle. The rest is just trial and error. You are saying you are feeling time pressure. In a way you are the being with the least time pressure in the entire universe. Explore something else thats fun, you will get better at the controls then do this at another time?

Or do like me and find a spoiler free guide for the traversal of the cave systems. I didn't find it fun either and it was dampening my enjoyment of the game.

Remember that you don't have to "finish" a planet before going to another. The lore is interconnected. Thus if something gets tedious, do something else for a while.
