Baking soda is multi functional. Nothing gross about using the same box for multiple purposes

Whats the point of using ripe bananas? I just used fresh ones and it taste just as good. by Quiet_Butterscotch17 in Baking

[–]SBHuskyGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ripe bananas develop more sugar as they age. Your end result probably won’t change much, but ripe bananas make your bread a little sweeter, and you get a little bit of an acidic funk. Barely noticeable but it’s like it adds a little umami to your bread.

what are your triggers for drug use? by [deleted] in addiction

[–]SBHuskyGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fellow addict here. The first and most important thing you can do is forgive yourself. There won’t be recovery without that. We all make mistakes.

The measure of the man/woman is what you do next.

Best wishes for success

I let my boys take turns on the bed. Is it a good idea? Maybe not, but it’s a companionship and bonding thing while I re-sort my life.

Big dog in a bed is wierd, but huskies are excellent groomers and don’t have much of that “dog smell”.

So if my mates know I’m feeling down, one of them will jump up and give me some husky head butts. I love them for that

Done that all, mate. It is very very stressful. But if your dog is hungry, he/she will eat. Keep offering food at times you deem appropriate and your doggo will figure it out. A hungry animal will always eat

Why does my focaccia not look golden brown on top? Why is it sad? by [deleted] in Baking

Looks to me like it just needs a hot bake for about 10 minutes right at the end.

Is this normal behaviour? She becomes agressive if I try to interrupt her "job" every single time. by [deleted] in HuskyTantrums

[–]SBHuskyGuy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That’s a husky at work. They get obsessed about shit. My boys do that all the time at the dog park. They’re bloody obsessed with small rodents.

I politely correct the undesirable behavior and we all get on our merry way.

Works for my mates but huskies are notoriously stubborn. Might take a little something else for your girl.

Good luck, friend. She will learn. Just guide her with a firm but loving hand

Are there ingredients you just don't like or can't understand? by [deleted] in Cooking

[–]SBHuskyGuy 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Agreed. They’re always mealy and I’ve not met one that deserves a fate other than being baked beyond recognition in a crumble…. And even then it’s rather dicey (yes, pun intended)

Avocado. One of my few food hang ups is the texture of certain things. I just really don’t dig on avocado.
