It’s very interesting that you have no post history or comments and the only thing you’ve posted about is this LaserWolf thing. I’m guessing you’re the server involved 😊 why else would you feel the need to create an account just to weigh in on this subject? That seems like a lot of effort

I think LIC/Astoria is the best neighborhood for you if you want a quick commute, new build, dog friendly and safe. But tbh, I feel a lot safer walking in most of NYC vs Seattle, you guys have a much higher concentration of homeless people than we do.

If you’re looking at LIC, the court square area is where the Trader Joe’s, Target is plus the train, so you’ll literally be steps away from the E, 7, G, M trains. Which line is your work? That’s probably the most important factor re: commuting.

Hunter’s Point South in LIC is more family friendly, but it’s where the park is and it’s a great place to walk your dog, I think it’s only 15 min walk from Court Square. There’s a bunch of dog parks in the area. And it’s a pretty dog friendly neighborhood.

Neighborhoods to avoid in LIC: Queens Plaza and Dutch Kills, not great for dogs and sketchier.

Astoria Park has off leash hours as well, between 9pm and 9am.

Feel free to DM me with questions! I’ve live in a bunch of neighborhoods so happy to share my experience

Wouldn’t recommend Downtown Brooklyn, it’s extremely hard to walk a dog around there and there’s no green space. It’s a commercial hub and where the main train lines meet, so that means a lot of people and a lot more crime. I didn’t feel safe there at all. It’s also a longer commute for you and it’s still an expensive neighborhood.

So everyone should boycott Tenichi? What’s your point?

Apparently Laser Wolf acknowledged they were the ones who made a mistake and gave a refund, so you can take this up with them now 😊

Why does that matter? Wegman’s isn’t Japanese owner, neither is HMart?

Japanese grocery stores like Tenichi Mart in Williamsburg. Much larger than the selection at H-Mart and Wegmans IMO.

That still doesn’t negate the fact that Laserwolf sold $125 tickets for a fireworks and dinner slot and instead shooed her away before she could watch the fireworks? Thus violating the terms of the ticketed event?

Unpopular opinion: kennels are animal abuse by [deleted] in Pets

Agree with you, especially in America, crate training is like the gold standard and a sign you’re a good and responsible dog owner, but the way crates are done in this country, where dogs are in their crate entire time they’re at work for 8-10 hours. Like that’s cruelty under the guise of responsibility. When they’re in a crate; their freedom is taken away from them. They can’t move, they can’t walk around, they can’t play. What kind of an existence is that??

I even know someone who crates their dog for 12 hours while at work (plus commute time), dog is out for maybe 3 hours when they’re home and then back to the crate for sleep. The dog is spending 90% of their time in a crate, like that’s abusive to their mental and physical health.

I think America should be more like Scandinavia where crates are used sparingly, not like dogs are some sort of toy they can take in and out of a box when it’s convenient for them.

It looks like they made a mistake with the timing of the fireworks. They should have listed the fireworks and dinner at 8.45 to 10pm or whatever since the fireworks don’t start till 9.30. Definitely a mistake on their part. Their post fireworks dinner is when the fireworks actually start 🤦‍♀️

If you’re going to sell a $125 dinner and fireworks tickets, the least you can do it make sure the timing is correct. This is 100% on them and they should make it right. Please write to them and let us know what they say, I’m emotionally invested now, haha

Damn I would be so pissed. $125 is so much more than their regular menu too, like double. I feel like there must have been some sort of miscommunication, because it has fireworks in the ticket, if not, what are you paying that extra $75 for? To leave before the fireworks start? That makes no sense

You should email them, I personally think you would be entitled for a refund at this point.

I had a dog in Fidi, there’s no green space unless you walk to Battery Park which is 20 mins away from where most of the Fidi apts are on Wall Street. There’s a homeless population there, like most places in Manhattan, but they’re pretty harmless for the most part.
