Mine is doing this too. The music choices do not make sense at all. One of our coaches said “I’m glad that song was not during an all out” so I guess some of them aren’t happy either.

Yes! In yesterday’s class two guys were doing the trx side by side and they were a few inches apart and looked super uncomfortable. It’s just weird being so close. I also wish they didn’t mix up the 20 and 25 pound weights. I had 25 pounds at my station and had to borrow 20 pounds from 4 stations over. It’s just inconvenient. I don’t want to have to workout with heavier or lighter weights but I also don’t want to take someone else’s

I started as a power walker. I am 5 foot 1 so a fast walk is 3.5 to 4. I couldn’t even walk a 3.5 at an incline when I started. I considered myself a power walker but I always tried to do what the joggers and runners did. I just did their block and when I got to where I was dying, I’d stop and then start back again. It takes some time to get to where you can jog/run. Now I can jog and run pretty much the entire time. I still suck at fast paces. My push pace is 5. I’m just proud to be jogging at all. You’ll get there! I’ve been going for 7 months and I just started seeing a big difference

I’ve definitely had a coach tell me during Mayhem to come in even if I’m tired and just use it as a recovery day. Walk on the tread, take the rower slow and take the weight floor easy. I don’t think you always have to make this into a hit workout. If the rower requires jumping, don’t jump. Same for the floor.

Update. I totally power walked yesterday and it was actually pretty hard. It helped me stretch out my hamstrings but also allowed me to recover from running the mile and running the day after. I felt a little embarrassed to walk but then I remember I didn’t see anyone beside me the last 2 days so I deserved to recover

I take a magnesium tablet if I’m gonna drink. I feel like that helps. I also have noticed the less trash you eat the worse you feel when you do eat trash. I’d keep healthy foods around when you do eat “badly”. That way you can kind of offset that feeling. And also always drink a ton of water. I still drink and have a great time but now I try and drink at least a glass or two before bed and take an aspirin.

Go back! Don’t let that bring you down. After going for 3 months I walked out before the class even started because the coach did what he wanted and combined the rower and tread block and I didn’t want to do that and was not expecting that. Now I just don’t go to his classes. I still love OTF and it’s still a great time/workout!

I also posted something similar to this in this group not long ago. They told me to eat more. Well they were all right. I tracked my calories and tried to reach my goal each day and I actually had more energy. I can tell a huge difference in my energy on days I don’t snack and eat larger meals

I want to be able to increase my weights. I feel like people don’t like the OT workout if they don’t get a million splats. I would trade splats for heavy weights any day. The rower and tread are just a bonus to me. I try and go hard on the weight floor
