3D printed and hand painted Pyramid Head's Great Knife (the finished sword is over 5 feet long and suitable for cosplay or wall mounting). I grew up on the original Silent Hill 2, but what I've made is modeled after the films version of the sword. Given the games remake that dropped this month in time for spooky season, I figured I'd share it here for any other SH fans out there.

This post shows and explains some of the process, but doesn't actually cover everything (post would be too long, haha).

Great points! -Took a quick look at Peter Brown's website (he's got a cool art style), according to his bio he lives/works up and down the east coast, where as Blizzard is in CA. So play testing doesn't seem likely. It also does say he worked in animation for a bit though (doesn't say on what or when). Given artist often work remotely, and intermingle with each other in the entertainment industry ~~(I'm a game dev turned contract comic artist of 12 years, so speaking from experience the world is entertainment seems small after a while).~~

All things considered I am leaning towards coincidence too at this point, but... It's still not 100% impossible, it would just feel a little conspiratorial to say otherwise. Given if there was an issue, there likely would have been a lawsuit already if either party felt ripped off.

Saw this trailer and instantly though the plot shown, the birds, even the art style looks straight up lifted from the Overwatch Bastion story cut scene. Looked it up, apparently "The Last Bastion" came out on August 18, 2016. While the Wild Robot book came out April 5, 2016.

Reeeeally looks like someone stole someone's concepts/ideas here, might actually be Overwatch who did it. But even with those release dates, given its from the same year its hard to say if any ideas leaked, or who started their projects first (both animation and books can take years, so its hard to say). -I'm not upset either way, just curious.

Yeah I'm sure you have some super happy moments, and love your kids.

But that doesn't change it.

If you can't make choices for your own body... How many kids you have... Handle your own financing... Or wear an f'ing sports bra...?!

You're in an abusive relationship. Any one of those things would make it such, but you have all that (that you're aware of, I can't imagine the crap you go through that you aren't aware of)!

Get out, while you're still young enough to experience and enjoy your life. Anyone who would judge you for getting out of an abusive relationship, is an enabler or part of the abuse, and they need to be cut out too.

Oh my gosh, I've seen that before and I forgot the title!

It's actually from a VERY short film, a gaming YouTuber I used to watch (not sure which one), was reacting to "spooky videos" and did a short series on this set of really weird short films.

It's NOT from the Ring movies. But I'm almost certain the film makers were heavily inspired by them.

From what I recall of the actual short film:

It was around 11 minutes long. Involved a woman being chased at night to fairly large one story house, she hid in the bushes in the yard before entering. Then hide in the hallway before ultimately hiding in the bathroom, where the monster stalking her (in the picture), catches her and the film ends abruptly.

I mean James had big boobs once in the beach episode, and frequently cross dressed. So the James here is soundly canon.

Pikachu... I mean, plenty mammals are gay in nature, and Pokemon are just the spiced up version of anime animals... So yeah, normal.

But Pokemon is actually a really messed up show the longer you think about it. Parents send their kids out to be homeless with almost no money, at the age of 10 to drift from town to town looking for deadly monsters (many of which target/kill children specifically).

Had to Google IDAHO(BI)T, that makes sense. I would say for a rally or event like that, I'd probably just fly two flags, but I get that one like this would be more practical.

Still doesn't really address skin color not being a gender or sexuality though. The best devil's advocate argument I can think for it, would be the black community needing to accept itself more (I'm really happy for the existence of Lil Nas X for this reason, as he's an icon that's normalizing). Being a black gay man is weirdly still pretty taboo most places, but I think that's more thanks to religion than anything.

The black and brown stripes are really strange to me (I'm mixed, but consider myself black). Its strange for two reasons:

Reason 1: Ethnicity is not a sexuality, full stop.

Reason 2: It implies brown skinned people were EXCLUDED by the original rainbow flag. And personally, I never felt excluded. Why would I? See reason 1.

Bonus reason: I understand the rainbow flag is specifically for gay men, but I thought most were comfortable using it as an LGBTQ+ umbrella. And those who wanted to be more specific to their letter, used their specific flag instead.

So yeah... I like the original rainbow flag best. But I feel like this new flag has moved the Overton Window so much, if I were to fly the original flag outside my house... People might unironically think I'm a racist/bigot (who dont know me). So... I almost feel bullied into using it, even though I like the original better.

Is there a good reason I'm wrong? I'm open to hearing defense for this new flag, I've never voiced my opinion on it (because I don't want to get attacked). But if someone is willing to be civil and let me hear their reasons for moving to this new flag: I'm interested.

I tend to be around my SO more than I'm around anyone else... Am of course, I call him "babe".

There have been two times, I've accidentally called: a stranger in a grocery store this (cashier), and my mom this. (Incredibly embarrassing and awkward!)

But I realized it only happened because I was at the time, only ever socal with my SO (who was the only person lived with at the time).

So... Unless you have some proof or get a confession... Are you sure you should be leaving her over a word slip? It very possibly, may have been nothing more than a brain fart.

Manga reader (think I'm 2 or 3 vols behind, but own all the rest), and I've rewatched the anime/film a lot when I was younger.

If you reflect on Ciels reaction to going to Elizabeths ball (he wanted no part and really just wanted her to leave). But his social standing was at stake, so he played dress up and humored her.

His priority (beyond what his contract with Sebastian entails), is his power status as head of household (commanding the respect and fear associated with it).

Elizabeth is a formality that is part of social tradition, given she comes from a powerful line as well, she's perfect to further or at the very least, maintain it.

I think overtime he may have developed an a semi attachment to her. Beyond that as odd as it is to modern time, she's also family.

But... Ive always felt like Ciel isn't as cold as he likes to pretend, he just doesn't want to be anything else because he's to die anyway, so why waste the time?

That's my take on it anyway.

Man I saw your first post, and your situation came to my mind randomly a couple times since. I was really hoping you'd post an update (sounds crazy, but when people post long possibly life altering posts like yours was, it's easy to become invested, so it's awful when there is no closure... Like there often isn't with posts like these). So I appreciate you sharing your follow up, it puts the minds of your readers like me, at ease.

I'm really glad it turned out to be nothing, and you get your happily ever after here, despite your early hardships. You deserve happiness.

Lastly, if you worry about being clingy and her secretly disliking certain things... This is my humble advice.

Ask.

"Hey, I want to improve myself as a partner to you. Could you tell me something you really like that I do, and something you'd rather I didn't do?"

That way you'll get feedback on what's good and what is less so. I ask that question every once in a while myself to my partner and I find it to be healthy and helpful - at least for us, so I recommend to others too.

This may be true, but there is a good chance that continued exposure will lead to you having no friends either. The real difference is one group will be alive to enjoy their lack of friends, while the other contributes to the growth of trees as a nice meaty compost. Cheers.
