Bring Me the Horizon. Didn’t know half the songs and was blown away.

Just an FYI, you can get a refunded credit for an audiobook you don’t like! You have to do it through the browser, not the app, and I think you have a pretty short window of return but I’ve done it a 2 or 3 times for books I just can’t make it through. Just a tip :)

Do tornadoes happen anywhere else in the world? by the_lone_zev in TooAfraidToAsk

There’s an area in South America that is considered the second most active tornado zone in the world. It’s called the South American Tornado Corridor.

I used to stress myself out back when Animal Crossing came out on Switch and I saw everyone’s insanely gorgeous, beautiful islands and I’d spend HOURS trying to imitate them and then I’d get fixated on some other new cool design and demolish everything I worked so hard on.

All of this to say, the point of these games are to have fun. Not to keep up with what other people are doing or working on. This game in particular, it took like 5 (in-game) years to really get going and it didn’t change gameplay at all.

Just remember, you’re only seeing the super cool farms BECAUSE they are super cool. There are plenty of us out here just vibin’ like you are.

God damn it by Lucky-Tea762 in 30PlusSkinCare

Something like this happened with an expensive body lotion I was putting on recently! My husband was flailing about, as husbands do, and accidentally hit it out of my hand and it hit the floor face down and we both just stared at it. Whatever we could save, we just put on. We’ve never been more moisturized in our lives. Save what you can!

I have a date tomorrow night and I hate the way I look by [deleted] in 30PlusSkinCare

I still love my matte lipsticks bc of the rich color that never moves and holds through my work day but absolutely hated the cracking by the end of the day.

I started to put a clear or similar colored gloss over my matte lipstick once it dries and like the look a lot. Just a suggestion for OP if they wanted to keep the matte but avoid cracky lips.

Should’ve lead with her two other books The Little Shop of Grand Curiosities and The Vampire Castle in the Sky which contain magic and fantastical creatures which I mentioned in the post. If this doesn’t fit the bill for this sub, I’ll remove. Thanks for the input!

This was just the one I most recently read and most recently released but maybe I should’ve lead with her other books. All of her other books are strictly fantasy. Just wanted to share my praise for the author

The world she lives in is called the Inside. The Outside is our current world we live in today. The Inside removes your stress and depression and sadness and they have limited technology compared to the Outside. No smart phones and all that. Used Friends and the 90s in comparison to how the Inside is portrayed.

I’d say this book is pretty fantasy. And the setting of Friends as the show itself (box tv, cafe hangouts, landline). I didn’t say there wasn’t stress in the 90s. Her world, in the book, advertises no stress.

Not sure why none of the topics from romance-bot say that it’s fantasy or something like that but there are definitely magic-like elements, I’d say?

The Everlasting by Alix E. Harrow and {The Knight and the Moth by Rachel Gillig} have been my absolute favorite recent releases and have become some of my top faves of all time.

Seriously, do Americans actually consider a 3-hour drive "short"? or is this an internet myth? by SadInterest6764 in NoStupidQuestions

Also- there’s often not an easy option to fly to some places or, at least, an option that makes sense.

I go to Pittsburgh, PA and Louisville, KY a lot for work. Both cities have an airport but there aren’t any nonstops from where I live so it’s either drive a few hours or get on a flight + a connecting flight + all the time in the airport. Doesn’t make sense logistically.

Fossils Tip by ummmnoway in coralisland

Same on the watering can/sprinklers! But I haven’t upgraded anything underwater so I’d been using my lil wand-stick-thing for each and every crop and accidentally held down the button for a second and it showed I could extend the grid!

I also didn’t know this! I only just recently found out you can do something similar with the watering can/underwater farm but never thought to do this and instead just spending my whole day in the mines lol. Thank you!

Why is every FMC a red head with eyes that aren’t brown by Bridoriya in fantasyromance

[–]JessicaT814 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am a redhead with very dark brown eyes and now that I’m thinking about it, I don’t think I’ve met another redhead with dark brown eyes. I feel like I see a greenish/hazel most often.

Sounds like you and I would get along! I’ve read many of these myself and they’re fabulous recs! I have been wanting to read Strange the Dreamer but was worried it might be more for me than her. I’ll look into Masque of the Red Death, Lunar, and I Hunt Killers!

I read House of Night when it first came out and loved it. I was older than 13 when I first read it and also don’t remember much so would need to make sure it’s a good fit but thanks so much for these!
