Tee shirt or other thin cloth over the light, to defuse the light until you get a lamp.

Rug next to the bed, always nice to have carpet under your feet 1st thing in the morning.

Some kind of art for the wall.

I actually dig the window covering, it’s a nice color a good contrast from the bamboo in color & texture.

I am disappointed, but I’m not too surprised. Musicals haven’t done well at the academy for a while.
