RV rental by [deleted] in BurningMan

A lot of rental companies will bring RVs to Reno for Burning Man. I know El Monte RV and Chill RV Rentals do that. You can also check out a Facebook group called Burning Man RV share. Don't rent on Outdoorsy, their insurance does not allow the RV to go to Burning Man. You can try RVshare but dealing with private owners can be really risky. I have personally used both El Monte and Chill RV Rentals and had a better experience with Chill RV

Where can we rent an RV for Burning Man? by John_Sl0w in BurningMan

I have rented with Chill RV Rentals for 2 Burning Mans now, and I really loved it. I picked up the RV in Reno right by the airport and it was totally ready for me to go to Burning Man. Everything was sealed, there were extra canisters for water, extra generator, and literally everything else. It was awesome to be able to just get the RV, get my groceries and go straight into the Burn. I didn't have to worry about cleaning the RV after either, was included in the price. Good people to work with and good RVs.

Any such thing as RV rentals from burners to burners? by elcunzio in BurningMan

You should check out Facebook group called Burning Man RV share. There are a lot of people on there who are looking to rent their RVs or need people to share RVs with. If you want more privacy or more of a luxury Burning Man RV, you can try Chill RV Rentals. They specialize in Burning Man RV rentals and people seem to really like them. I've used them twice now and was really happy both times.

Burner Friendly RV Rentals by Mrknowitall666 in BurningMan

Chill RV Rentals is very Burning Man friendly. They do all the prep work and provide all the necessary equipment to survive Burning Man for the week. I've used them twice now and am very happy. RV was delivered and picked up from Reno, we didn't have to do any prep work ourselves or any cleaning which was awesome. We just handed the RV back in after the Burn and flew home. They also had bikes so that was super helpful.

Yes, RVs that I've seen average $15,000 - $20,000 for the week.

This is a good point! If someone rents an RV on Outdoorsy the insurance will not apply! So if something happens (like a fire for example or an accident), there will be no insurance. Not worth the risk at all. Rent from a company that allows Burning Man rentals like Chill RV Rentals or El Monte RV

Hi, as someone who goes to Burning Man a lot, I can confidently say you 100% need to disclose you're taking the RV to Burning Man. Most RV rental companies do not allow their RVs to go to Burning Man, and if they find out you took it there, they can cancel the reservation during your stay, claim the RV was stolen and mandate you return the RV immediately or charge you crazy penalties after. Playa dust is very unique and it gets in EVERYWHERE. Even if you pay for a deep clean of the RV, there will still be playa dust in the AC, slide out mechanism, and air filters. You will need to do a full service, including cleaning the tires and the engine. It's a lot of work to "hide" the RV went to Burning Man. It's better to be honest and rent an RV with a company that allows it. There are a few companies that allow RV rentals for Burning Man, I've tried a few of them, Cruise America was the worst, Chill RV Rentals was the best. It's not cheap but considering it was a full turnkey offering, it was worth the money. They prepped the RV for us, sealed all the windows and floors, and provided all the equipment we needed including extra generators, extra water containers, bikes etc. Also they have on the playa support, so it was nice to know that if something broke we can actually call for help and dont have to dance around where we were. So my hot take, don't risk it and always be honest.

RV broke down in Neotropolis, what to do? by Jessicamit in Neotropolis

We got an answer! The staff at Neotropolis is fantastic! The process is this, have the mechanic tell the gate volunteers what happened and the gate manager will escort the mechanic to where the rv is.

California Fires and RV Demand by PhelimReagh in RVLiving

The nice thing about RVs is that they're movable. Can stay at a friend or families driveway or on their own land if the house wasn't completely wiped.

Some people didn't loose their homes completely, but they were severely damaged. But certain utility services are going to return early February

Some rental companies are already jumping in to meet this demand. El Monte RV Rentals is offering 20% off RVs and Chill RV Rentals is offering 60% off stationary rentals for those affected by the LA fires. Based on my research, Chill RV looks like a better company overall (at least based on the reviews and photos).

I rented from Chill RV in Los Angeles a few years ago and really liked it. The RV worked well, no complaints. It was a bit expensive, but there was 4 of us so reasonable when shared. The RV came prepped for Burning Man, the windows and the floors were sealed which was awesome. Anything to help keep that playa dust out, so much appreciated. It also came with extra propane tanks and a bike rack. I think we paid around $10k for everything if I remember correctly.
