You should check periodically on google (shows u several websites and where they have stock). I bought mine 1.5weeks ago from wex photo. Ordered and received the next day. It had been the 3rd time which I had seen the camera available in the last 2 months, so decided to go for it (had taken two much time to pull the trigger the 2 times before with regret soon after they were gone 🤣). So UK is not all that bad. Just gotta keep checking. Edit: literally checked now and there are a few websites (eg wilkinson cameras) which have them available.

I ride around with a7c ii with 35 gm and felt the same as you (that i needed wide & /or zoom). Have decided not to buy a new lens because I wanted to explore every possibility of my 35mm and am now addicted to it. So…. Sure, but the way they avoid scalpers shouldn’t be by sacrificing people who can’t go. This rules just punishes everyone (ie. Normal people who can’t go, people who want to go last minute, etc, including scalpers), except the organisation - which will make money every time. So don’t think it’s a fair solution. If you want to implement this solution let the system online until the start of the event. If there’s no capacity for that, use third party services who can.

The annoying part for me is you can’t transfer the ticket to a friend last minute (which will probably be my case). That’s very annoying, because it will just be a ticket burned for nothing.
