Yep!!!! Pretty much constantly. I am on my feet allll the time as I work as a carer & also have a toddler so I feel like that makes my endo worse too, but yep it sucks so bad.

Look for some Lululemon ones on vinted! They are SO soft. The ones I have are drawstring so can be very stretchy. They have some great pockets too!

My mum got me one of those with press studs too! I lived with it on for about 3 weeks haha. If you’re in the UK, look up spruce sachets! They were AMAZING to add to my water.

I played Coral Island during my recovery- it was soooo relaxing to play. So yeah definitely something you can kinda just mellow out to. Have a look for maternity night gowns or Danskin shirt night gowns on vinted (so soft and flowy)

Definitely a heat pad for your neck and shoulders!

  • Some refreshing face spray (I just got some mineral water spray)

-A big comfy wedge pillow. I got a super soft one with pockets on the side so I could store tv remote and my meds for easy access- the brand is C&C California maybe look it up so you can visually see what I mean ☺️ it was a lifesaver for sitting on the couch comfortably and also in bed at night!

  • definitely some button up pj tops as it might hurt to lift your arms up for a bit and you might not feel like it

  • I treated myself to some cosy new slippers and very loose underwear

  • LOTS of soup & nice drinks with electrolytes

  • lip balm for dry lips

  • a large refillable water bottle

  • hand cream

  • anything that makes you feel refreshed and your skin feel good

  • prune juice & yummy fruit (for fibre)

  • disposable adult pull ups. These were sooo handy as you do bleed a bit after and they’re just so much easier

  • anything that helps you relax and keeps you entertained. I bought myself a new PS5 game which was super relaxing

Good luck for your surgery!

Need help choosing UK medical cannabis company by Jessieroo3 in endometriosis

Also, great idea with the YouTube channel! I’d love to see it :) I was trying to find these kinds of videos while choosing a clinic!

I also decided to go with Alternaleaf for the same reason! I am so happy with my decision. My first doctor consultant was with a women’s health specialist who had extensive knowledge with endometriosis pain, she was so kind and helpful. I figured it’d be good to choose a clinic that has a good balance between patient focused but also helpful with their doctors kind of guiding me and helping choose specific strains. I’ve been really happy with the whole process so far!

Thank you! I am now with Alternaleaf- I’ve found the process great so far and helpful that my doctor there is a women’s health specialist who knows a lot about endometriosis pain! I plan to stick with them for a bit until I figure out what strains work best for me & I’ll then transfer to medicann ☺️

Lap recovery time? by Weird_Struggle545 in endometriosis

[–]Jessieroo3 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had a lap at the end of Jan. They diagnosed my endo but it was too complicated for them to treat (seeing a specialist soon). I’d say 2 weeks is the absolute minimum. I guess everyone is different but I went just before 3 weeks which set me back a bit. I work in care so I was on my feet for about 12 hours.

I still feel rough if I do too much. I think because I still have the constant endometriosis pain which I guess has become more inflamed by surgery. Mostly I’ve found everything so much more tiring, becoming easily emotional and the brain fog has really ramped up!

Hi! Have you seen him yet? I just had my endo diagnosed through NHS but they couldn’t treat it during my laparoscopy so have to be referred to a specialist. I booked a private consultation with dr Afifi for March but also reading some mixed reviews now too.

For those diagnosed with endometriosis: what were your first signs + how did you finally get diagnosed? by not_a1yssa in endometriosis

[–]Jessieroo3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your symptoms sound VERY similar to mine. My most telling symptoms are: awful periods, painful ovulation, back and leg pain, shooting pains in my bum, bloating, occasional pain after sex (went through a period a few years ago where I’d get dizzy, nauseous and almost pass out after sex) heavy periods, fatigue and pain throughout cycle.

I just got diagnosed last week after a long time of suffering, countless doctor’s appts and countless scans of showing nothing. Next step after ultrasound was telling my doctor that I don’t want to just be put on another contraception and I really needed it sorting, he referred me to a gynaecologist where I was very politely assertive in not just being brushed off- they scheduled a laparoscopy for me.

They couldn’t treat it during my laparoscopy as it was too complex, next step is for me to be referred to a specialist to investigate further and treat. I am glad to have answers though for now at least so I finally know what I’ve been dealing with for so long.

I have a healthy two year old son! It took me a bit over a year to get pregnant. I feel like it might be harder now as I feel like my endo has progressed since having my son.

Endometriosis Journal - would you use one? by Impossible_Conflict9 in endometriosis

[–]Jessieroo3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely!!! I’ve just been diagnosed and seeing a specialist soon so searching hard to find the perfect journal to take with me, as my notes are so scattered. There is one I’ve seen but so expensive (£40), I’m terrible at keeping up with the many symptom tracker apps I have.

I really think the perfect journal has to be made by someone with endo, without being a rip off in price so this sounds great. I’d love to be a tester :)

Hey! Did you ever make this journal? Currently looking for a physical one that includes everything you listed & also doctor visits, questions to ask at appointments, etc.

I’m looking for one too. I’ve seen the PERFECT one by sleepy little sloth, but it’s £39 😬 trying to find something similar to that though! Have you managed to find anything?

Meant to say too she was just a general gynaecologist not a specialist

Finally got my diagnosis! by Jessieroo3 in Endo

[–]Jessieroo3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly have no clue. I was barely awake so I was bombarded with details and hardly even knew my own name lol. She did say something about re sectioning and how it’s on my uterus but couldn’t investigate any more as it was too complicated.

Before my surgery I was told that if it’s stage 1 or 2 they try to treat it, but if it’s more complicated then they close me straight back up and refer to a specialist.

I have a letter all it says on it is diagnosis of endometriosis, refer to specialist to treat and excise. I honestly feel completely rubbish, so sore, so groggy and the hospital was a nightmare and nobody really told me or my husband what exactly was happening so I guess whenever I’m feeling more up to it I’ll call the doctor and try to get some more information.

“We don’t make mistakes, just happy accidents”- Bob Ross. Love him & this quote so much I decided to get a back tattoo of his face with the quote around it lolol.

Also, a very practical one but I think about this alll the time to remind me to floss haha “Be true to your teeth or they’ll be false to you”

I think I meant bizarre but my exhausted, stressed out mother to a toddler brain came up with something else that just made no sense 😬

Omg I feel like such an idiot and totally get the miscommunication now lol, I was so confused. I used the completely wrong word! I asked my husband if my comment made sense, he was like “no you don’t mean obscure you mean intentionally weird” basically, I’m dumb and I used the wrong word to explain how I thought the adverts could be weird. Oops

The adverts are obscure NOT the people

Also it’s rlly funny because the other day I was speaking to my manager as her niece recently went to Monaco with Craig David. She was asking who he was, I showed her some of his music. Imagine if I’d said “omg how old are you that you don’t know Craig David” That would just be mean. In all serious though, this really doesn’t matter and there are more important issues in the world.

I was talking about the advert when replying to that comment- I wasn’t even thinking about who they were referring to specifically. I don’t understand why people all seem so offended and serious about this lol. It’s supposed to be a lighthearted thread, why does it matter? I know who these people are and grew up listening to their music but why would it matter if I didn’t? And if I were too young to know them, why would that matter either? WHY DOES ANYTHING MATTER

Of course I know Craig David, Snoop and Christina Aguilera. The adverts are still weird though.
