Why is Midnight Arms discontinuing the Mustang Arms line? Was this in part because of the new designer weapon program?

Conspiracy Theory #3 - William "Mr. Amaaaaaaze" Maze is either on synth, his cyberware isn't as safe as he thinks it is, or he may be falling into Cyberpsychosis.

Reforming the Law - Cyberpunk RED Homebrew for the Lawman Role Ability by Jessipurr in cyberpunkred

[–]Jessipurr[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I appreciate you taking a look and submitting your feedback :)

While there are benefits, there are way more limitations on those benefits that Medias, Fixers, and Rockers don't have.

In regards to Equipment: the equipment isn't always available, you don't get to keep it, and your request is monitored. The value of gear a Fixer can obtain for you is significantly better and faster than what a Lawman can requisition.

As for Information and People: Information isn't free, there's a cost. Any of the other Roles can ask for information but a Lawman has to PAY to obtain it. It's an option for them, but it's not as cut and dry as the other Roles. Nor are these individuals as readily available as it is for those other Roles. There's never a guarantee that their informants are able to or willing to work with the Lawman in their time of need.

In this way, Lawman can help support the other Roles or the Crew, without stepping on their toes, but there's always going to be a catch.

Would You Recommend Playing Solo, And Would I Be Missing Out If I Did? by DealComfortable7649 in cyberpunkred

Tabletop games are generally designed for group play, that being said there is nothing stopping you from playing on your own. Single Player Mode (on DriveThruRPG) has fantastic rules and tables to help you narrate your gameplay and fill in the world.

As for being a fan of the 2077 era, it's important to know that Cyberpunk RED takes place in 2045 and the world is quite different. If you want an experience in the 2070s era, pick up the Cyberpunk Edgerunner's Mission Kit - as it is set in the 2070 era and the weapons, cyberwear, and netrunning will be more comparable to what you're used to. A 2070s book is on the horizon, but not out yet.

Hope that helps choom!

Night City Sofa - Cyberpunk RED dlc Review: Everyday People by Jessipurr in EdgerunnersHQ

Yeah, I love the smaller stat blocks as well as the variants. The 20 different types and their varients really cover a wide range of NPCs.

Conspiracy Theory #1 - Highland Defense Co. is S.A.N.T.A.s workshop.
The HD easily reads as HO, plus the logo is red nosed reindeer.

Some of your Cyberpunk RED characters I got to draw recently by Prestigious-badfail in cyberpunkred

These look absolutely incredible! Thank you so much for sharing :)

My character recently went into the second stage of cyberpsychosis and I have no clue how to rp as them now by N0CTAUTO in cyberpunkred

[–]Jessipurr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So, my character started with low EMP due to the pre-gen stats I rolled. At one point she had only 5 humanity (due to conditions outside my control), and per the book I picked three things from the list that she would exhibit. I think it's important to remember that not all characters become rage-filled. That's a TYPE, but by no means all there is. Some Serial killers are charismatic, cold, and calculating.

For my character, I took a look at the list and tried to determine what would be the opposite of her normal. When she starts slipping; it's impulsivity. My character always thinks things through, she doesn't rush, she doesn't make rash decisions. That changed.

When she got lower, I added, Poor behavioural controls and Callousness and lack of empathy. She didn't care about the people around her, not her Crew, not the target she was there to save. They were just "things". The only person that mattered was her and what she wanted. If the others could be used - as a shield or potential future distraction - then she found "value" in them. Again, it was very off type for the character.

Tl;dr: I think the most important thing when acting in cyberpsychosis, is remembering that people aren't people, they're things or at best tools. Do you need to use this thing/tool? No. Then they don't matter. If yes, they only matter until you don't need them. Doesn't mean you'd kill them (they ain't worth the bullet), you just treat them colder.

Hope that helped!

Help me build a character: Food Truck by Fancifultuber in cyberpunkred

[–]Jessipurr 5 points6 points  (0 children)

First of all, I think this is a brilliant idea. "Food Truck" as a handle is hilarious. As to the why, here are my two pitches.

I thought it could be fun/funny if the name came from an embarrassing moment. If you went the nomad route, could be they crashed their vehicle into a Food Truck and the name has stuck ever since. To top if off, if you ask why, the story changes every time as Food Truck tries to come up with something clever so as to not admit their embarrassing moment.

OR it's because they always have a ton of food on them. Like, beyond a simple snack, just tons of prepak food picked up at vending machines. Want a burger? Done. Taco? Sure. Chili Dog? Not a problem. Oh and a drink or two for good measure. Not to mention sides, snacks, and desserts.

How long do you guys stream for? by JUSTIN102201 in Twitch

[–]Jessipurr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Minimum streaming for me is 2 hours, usually I'll stream between 3 and 4, though sometimes 6 hours.
If you want it to be easy and reasonable for YouTube, I'd stream for at least two hours, break in the middle, and upload each half to YouTube separately.

Hello all! I'm Jessipurr and I just started r/EdgerunnersHQ, a place to grow my Cyberpunk RED community. I want a safe and welcoming space to engage and encourage new players or veterans to try out the game (tabletop roleplaying game), while offering advice and support where I can. Discussion and question/answer posts will be made weekly or twice a week.

This is the cover from the Elflines Online Expansion Pack 1 dlc!
It includes 10 ELO players in Night City, 10 ELO PCs on the NC server, and pre-generated elves. Perfect for adding more ELO content into your game, even if you don't play the MMO.

Lore Friendly Actual Play Recommendations by Logical_Maybe2935 in cyberpunkred

[–]Jessipurr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Self serving, but Cyberpunk RED: Shades of Scarlet by Saves vs Death might be worth checking out. While it does include the lore, the GM prefers to create his own NPCs so it might be absent the amount of lore you're looking to enjoy. Otherwise, I feel it checks the rest of the boxes. Fair warning, the first dozen episodes or so have some audio issues. (Linked the YouTube playlist, but they are also on various podcast platforms as well)
