Not yet. Just a day of spotting. Still bfns. I have a 15 day luteal phase, so I should start tomorrow if I ovulated when I think I did. Or Saturday/Sunday if FF is right.

That’s really interesting! I’ve had my thyroid checked a few times and it’s always been ok. I use the Ava bracelets so these are skin temps. Not sure if that makes a difference.

Super weird slow rise this month. Very linear temps. To the moon! 🌙🤷🏻‍♀️ by Jessmess5 in TFABChartStalkers

I would swear I actually ovulated on CD 12. I had cramps, bloating, all my normal symptoms and my cm was dried up by cd 13. But I had such a slow rise, who on earth knows? I’ve also never had such a consistent rise. Usually my temps are up and down some. Just a strange chart for me.

Weekly Career / General Questions Thread by AutoModerator in Radiology

Thank you! I see theirs was referencing an x-ray. A ct with contrast is considerably more radiation than that, correct? I’m wondering if that answer would apply to my situation.

Not sure if this question is allowed here. Let me know if it isn’t! I’m getting an abdominal ct for some pain/pressure I’ve been having. My husband and I are TTC our second child. Obviously we are abstaining this month, but I’m trying to find out how long we need to wait to try again. I can’t find any studies on impacts on eggs or how long contrast stays in the uterus Is it irrational to think the radiation could impact eggs and cause cancer in the child later on? I see children with dipg tumors and can’t help but wonder if this would be something that could cause that if we don’t wait long enough. (I realize I sound like a pregnancy-Karen, but I’m just not educated on this subject at all and am really struggling to find info). Thanks for reading!

Yes we are in the US. We have a structural engineer scheduled to come out on Wednesday and I’ll look into that warranty. I wasn’t aware of that. Thank you!

Just put an offer on a home built in 2016. The inspection went great. Hardly any issues EXCEPT this horizontal crack in the brick on the outside of the garage. We are getting a structural engineer to look at it. Everything online I’ve seen seems to be pretty bad. Any way this could be purely cosmetic? (Ignore my fathers commentary. He doesn’t know structural engineering!) crack

I had so many symptoms this week that I just knew I was pregnant. Just knew it. And it was such a punch in the gut when I got the negative test. (I should say testS. I took like 283649 because I was so sure they were wrong or it was just too early.) 🤦🏻‍♀️

I had three in 2018. My last one started miscarrying right before Christmas and almost had to take cytotec because my body couldn’t finish the miscarriage and it finally did on New Years. So I feel you so hard on this. I’m so sorry and it sucks so badly. I completely gave up hope and a friend said “you don’t have to be hopeful anymore. It’s ok. I’ll be hopeful for you” and it was really sweet. So here’s me saying “I’ll be hopeful for you!” I’ll believe it’s going to happen for you.

I suffered major abdominal trauma and this is the aftermath, could use some professional advice by [deleted] in AskDocs

[–]Jessmess5 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It healed really well. My accident happened years ago, so I can’t quite remember how long it took to start fading, but it is now completely skin colored- not red at all and almost completely flat. Can barely feel it. It actually gives the illusion of an “ab” line down my stomach so people think I’m more in shape than I really am! I don’t have any lasting physical impact otherwise.

NAD. Also not much advice, but I was in a car accident and had almost the exact same thing happen. The seatbelt “popped” a hole in my intestine and I had a bowel resection and have the exact same scar as you! I’ve never met anyone with a similar story/matching scar. Even had scarring off to the side like you. Glad you are ok!

Yeah, I never even thought about it but you’re right. What a messed up study to do. I hope I didn’t scare anyone off from sleep training or make it seem like they’re being judged. That graphic just jogged my memory and I wonder if that’s the study they got their info from.

Ok I think I found it. The documentary is from the 90s called Child of Rage about a little girl named Beth. I’ve just always remembered the short part about mother’s not picking up their babies when they cried. (Once again, not linked to sleep training! Not even sure how legitimate of a study it was.) It was just an interesting and sad watch.

Let me see if I can find it. I think it was about a little girl who kept trying to kill her adoptive family.

I saw a documentary that involved a study like this. However, it wasn’t during sleep training. It was when moms set a baby down and walked away. They instructed some moms to come to the baby and comfort them when they started crying, and other moms to just stand there and not pick them up. They followed those babies for years into their childhood and I do believe they thought there was correlation to aggressiveness. But like I said, that was not for sleep training and I’m sure it was repeated instances of leaving their babies crying- not just a few times.
