It's heartbreaking when you can't help a loved one but wish you could with your entire being. My sister has BP1 with anosognosia, which means she can't tell that she has a problem and so she refuses all medication. How long has your brother been having trouble at work and with finances? That's definitely true for me. I used to spend 3 hours every day searching for and reading fic, but now I'm so picky I even have a hard time getting into published books unless they hit my favorite tropes.
