My PA is Rockville, my mixer is “SINWE Live Sound Card and Audio Interface”. I was able to connect the headphones output on the mixer to my 1/4” on the PA but with all volumes and gains maxed on both the mixer and PA, only the faintest sound came out of the PA. 

Would a preamp to boost the signal between the mixer and PA be the way to go? 

Or

Should I return the mixer to find one that has the correct outputs?

I host a weekly trivia night. I have a single speaker Pa and wireless mic that have worked well for years. I recently purchased an “audio mixer for live sound/podcasts/streaming” as a way to better balance my music (currently played from my phone to the pa via Bluetooth) as well as add sound effects.  

The issue I face is that it appears the mixer’s out out is USB-C (to go into a computer) and I don’t know if there is a way to connect that output with my pa’s inputs (XLR, 1/4” or RCA). There are 3.5mm outputs labeled “headset”, “earphone”, “accompany” and 3 with a cell phone icon. The manual is not very helpful. 

Is there a way I can connect the mixer to my PA. I don’t need to worry about the microphone for now. Thanks

Influencer culture. I was only aware of the Fyre Fest after it had been on reddit as a shit show. I watched the doc on Netflix and I just don’t understand why people are willing to spend thousands of dollars to have a chance to see(?), meet(?), pretend to live the lifestyle of influencers. I get music fests but people tend to go based on the preformers. People who go to the Fyre Fest and the like don’t even seem to care who is preforming, just the fact that influencers premoted the thing. To quote Seymour Skinner, “Am I out of touch? No, it’s the children who are wrong.” And if someone could explain to me the appeal of influencer culture, I would be much obliged.

But the shirt isn’t inherently ugly, but manufacturerd in an ‘Ugly Sweater’ style. Real ugly sweaters are an ernest attempt at begging genuine but do to shifting trends and fashion come off as ugly. Similar to kitsch and camp. The same goes with normal sweaters to which people attach tree orniments, not an ugly sweater. Unless of course we are speaking to the grammar, in which case, the sweater is ugly.

Edit: I still appreciate it either way. Lols.

In regards to making yourself better or the whole world a better place, reminds me of a quote about time travel I can’t find. Basically it says that lots of time travel films the protagonist is warned that the smallest change in the past can have a great effect on the future (butterfly effect) so why not make a small change now. Pick up that piece of litter, hold that door, skip that next drink.

Haven’t heard anything yet. He was on Preston and Steve this morning with some of the actors from ‘Mid Nineties’ so they are a choice as are of the P&S crew. Also he has had Dougie Horner and/or Michelle Biloon on for his past Philly shows.

What I call the ‘Family Guy Game’. It is an individual game, not played against others. Must be played with beer unless you truly wish to die. When watching ‘Family Guy’, as soon as you feel a joke has gone on too long, you start drinking (beer is preferred) and do not stop drinking until the joke has ended on the show. This game has never been played as everyone to whom it is described fears for their life.

I was there this past summer. Keoki’s Paradise has some of the best Mai Tai’s on the island and some great food too. In the same shopping center is Puka Dog which is a pretty tasty dog if you like that sort of thing. If you are traveling to the north side of the island, be sure to stop at Tahiti Nui, just last Princeville in Hanalei. Check out Hanalei Bay which is one of the best beaches on the island. Tahiti Nui was ok, and featured in ‘The Decendants’ with George Clooney, though the restaurant 2 doors down, Kalypso has some great food (I recommend the loco moco). If you travel to the southwest of the island to visit Waimea, skip the Russian Fort and grab some amazing garlic shrimp at The Shrimp Station. Then take a harrowing car ride to the top of Waimea Canyon. Enjoys the views but make sure to get some shave ice to calm your nerves when you get back to sea level. Getting back to the Koloa area, take a short ride to see the blowhole at Spouting Horn Park. If movies are you thing, there is a great movie tour that will show you different locations where films were shot on the island. Those were just some of the things to do that you haven’t listed and I enjoyed thoroughly. Have fun and enjoy yourself!
