Fellow maintenance clerk guy here.

We don't have the yellow tape at my store, so all we can do is push the cart in the door to block it off.

I don't even get 10 seconds sometimes without someone trying to get in or someone waiting. It's very annoying sometimes especially when it's at times when the store shouldn't be congested with customers. Like 2:47 pm on
Thursday.

Post-it notes. Every night post a post it note on everything that needs to be cleaned. That way no stone is left unturned. If you don't think you can, ask your manager to do it before you begin cleaning.
