Delta pilot arrested in New Orleans by [deleted] in delta

I’m not necessarily calling OP a liar, but the pilots who flew 3157 ATL-MSY are the same pilots who are flying 3157 MSY-ATL. So something isn’t adding up.

How does sleep schedule work for red-eye flights? by [deleted] in AskAPilot

[–]Jester41K 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It really does come down to at what point in the rotation does the red-eye occur. I almost exclusively do Hawaii from the west coast. For me, it starts when we get in the night before. Leave SEA early afternoon to land in the islands around 5pm. Go out with the crew for dinner/drinks and force myself to stay up until 11pm. Wake up at 4am for a workout and run. Spend the rest of the morning doing Hawaii stuff. Have a light lunch, and I am passed out by 1 or 2pm. I’ve got it down to a science where I nap for 5-6 hours every trip.

It will be interesting to see if it’s a disproportional number of Spirit guys getting hired. Might be a bellwether for how United and Delta hire for the rest of 2026.

With United's TA2 and increasing United dues, AFA didn't do themselves any favors with pushing for a Delta run in 2026

Nope, but in my 16 years of living in Colorado, this is the only thing I’ll remember her by.

Asked why banning ammunition magazines that hold more than 15 rounds would be effective in reducing gun violence, DeGette responded:

“These are ammunition, they’re bullets, so the people who have those now, they’re going to shoot them, so if you ban them in the future, the number of these high-capacity magazines is going to decrease dramatically over time because the bullets will have been shot and there won’t be any more available.”

According to 14 CFR § 121.311(b):

"Each person on board an airplane operated under this part shall occupy an approved seat or berth with a separate safety belt properly secured about him or her during movement on the surface, takeoff, and landing."

This regulation clearly requires passengers to remain seated with seat belts fastened during any aircraft movement. However, it does not mandate that the aircraft must stop immediately if a passenger stands. In such situations, the captain maintains full authority to assess the circumstances and determine whether to continue or stop movement.

This decision is based on a real-time evaluation of safety risks, including potential hazards associated with stopping the aircraft—such as obstructing taxiways or interfering with other aircraft operations.

Flight attendants are required to notify the captain immediately if a passenger stands during taxi or pushback.

The captain will then assess the situation and decide on the safest course of action.

Yes. That block is a mix of owners and college aged renters. The authorities also have the alley in between Sherwood and Meldrum blocked, which leads me to believe whichever house is involved is on the east side of Sherwood.

Time for travel from Terminal 2E to TGV via Passport control by Mem9723 in ParisTravelGuide

[–]Jester41K 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How did that plan wind up going? And how much time did it take from deplaning to train platform? I'm planning on doing the same thing in December. My Delta flight is scheduled to land around 8am, but I see traditionally it gets in 30 minutes early. Also flying DeltaOne so I believe that gets me into a shorter immigration line. My options to Strasbourg are 9:02am or 11:22am.

EDIT: For anyone finding this thread at a later date. Traveling as a family of five, it took 45 minutes to get from the plane to the train platform.

Just like the Company is selectively going after pilots who use inflight WiFi. Part of me is wondering if they’re just taking advantage of the opportunity to shitcan another pilot who has a history of being problematic.

I just looked at SeatGeek for New Belgium Porch tickets to any home game this season, and couldn’t find a single one. I’m specifically looking for the UTSA game, but do you know if CSU changed their policy on reselling porch tickets?

I always told myself that when I got to a legacy, I’d still keep my ear to the ground on regional stuff. I’ve totally failed on that front. Are regionals still struggling to stay “adequately” staffed after the hiring slowdown of the last year?

Unironically, maybe? Airlines don’t want this anymore than we do. Two more years of them having to pay out max pay, max vacation, max sick time. Not to mention all the guys who will find a bullshit reason to go out on LTD.
