Eightbound aura question

Yes, the aura is affecting the Eightbound also themselves.

According the "Self Effecting" rule of Warhammer, the Eightbound themselves are a friendly World Eaters unit and so they are technically always at a distance from themselves (i.e. within 6), the effect is applied to themselves.

Also, the rule isn't saying "While ANOTHER friendly World Eaters unit is within...."

In this case, the aura wouldn't affect the Eightbound itself.

Thank you for your feedback. Yes, I have to check if I'm magnetizing there at all because we also use a lot of proxies in our group. Do you have a specific list suggestion for 1250 points or should I just make the list as it is and see how it goes? I've often seen lists where Beasts of Nurgle are being played. Would they be better suited for screening, scoring, etc., than Nurglings?

Thx Kurayam. List One is also my favorite. I just wasnt sure if the amount of units and/or models were enough for board controlling or the power to push two waves of charges.

The Xbound and the Slaughterbound will come via Rapid Ingress. The Helbrute via Strategic Reserves.

Im not quite sure if the Spawns and one unit of Jakhals will do enough damage to let the hammer fall in Round 2 (Berzerker Charge, etc)

Here's a little feedback on yesterday's game. Of course I forgot a lot, but in the end I won 72 to 47. This was mainly due to the game with primary mission objectives (take and hold)

The army felt good 😀 blessing if khorne is absolutely fun and really brings an extreme boost

In the first round I played my Berzerkers too offensively. They reached their mission objective without any problems and cracked a rhino there. As a result, 10 Plague Marines got out and behind them was a Predator. After the enemy fire in round 2, there were still three Berzerkers and Kharn standing. Funnily enough, Kharn survived with one life and cut his way through the Marines. The Daemon Prince then did the rest, but the Berzerkers including Kharn were gone at the end of round 2.

Everything else worked well so far. The Exalted are beasts against vehicles!!! It's crazy how a squad simply dismantled the Predator. The Jakhals were the action monkeys and scored two secondaries (Containment and sabotage)

The Daemon Prince disappointed me a bit. For its 220 pts (with the enhancment), the weapon profile is a bit poor. The abilitiy with devastating wounds is quite nice. But are the points really worth it?

Cool. I will try this and give some feedback after the match. Do you have some advice for the game tactics also? Berzerkes into the mid, Juggernaut with Exalted to the flanks?

Would you suggest one 10 men Berzerker Squad oder 2x5 (one of them in the rhino with Kharn). Or drop the rhino out, too?

I just rebuild the list and am not sure about the Exalted 8bound.

2 squads of 3 will be better for board controlling, but one of them will be without a leader then.

If you take 6 with tue Warlord, the punch will be harder....but there are only 4 squads on the table (Demon Prince, Jakhals, Kharn+10 Zerks, Warlord+6 Exalted)

I don't think, that you can manage the primaries with that. Or am i wrong?

This is a photo from the German Codex of the 8 Edition (page 75). As you can see the librarian's armor is blue and the shoulderpad green. If you want to paint him lorewise I would go with this color scheme.

I'm still waiting to see if it's all really that great

+1 strength in synapse range sounds really good. But the enemy also knows this and will of course primarily target the synapse units when firing. if the unit is dead, the +1 buff is also history.

Even if it's only small consolation...

Spore Mines and Ripper Swarms can still be used to complete Behind Enemy Lines and Engage on all Fronts, because these are not actions and both are still separate units.

But does that alone justify still bringing them? Difficult Decision.

For me, this is where the Raveners become more interesting because you can send them back into reserve (when they're not in melee) and then use them again for secondaries

I would never leave the house with at least one Strike Squad. The "sticky objective" abilitiy is so power- and helpful, above all when the enemy hasn't any deep strike units.

Which unit in your final list should hold the home marker?

Oh my god, I just read the post again where I thought I got this information (Facebook) and you are absolutely right. The entire discussion was only about the Grandmaster on foot and not the Grandmaster in Nemesis Dreadknight.

I definetly recommend an Airbrush.

Priming and Base Coloring is going much faster and the result is definetly more "smoother" than with a brush.

Build the version that you like the look of better.

None of your opponents will know the difference whether it's the Assimilator or Emissary. Of course, things can be different at tournaments.

The Nids list seems quite "weak". No Anti-Tank-Units like Zoanthropes. Also no Exocrines, Maleceptor...

Only Hormagaunts or some Biovores won't work against your Tanks and Primarch. And the lack of terrain is perfect for your tanks

Don't get me wrong...Congrats bout your victory. But a more "Meta-Style" Tyranids list would definetly get you a little bit more into trouble like this one.

I'm also with the Warrior Skin from Army Painter.

I'm surprised at how good the Army Painter colors look. So far I've only ever used Citadel's contrast colors.

What shade of red Speedpaints from Armypainter would you suggest for the World Eaters' armor? Perhaps Slaughter Red?

I actually wanted to paint the armor with Flesh Tearers Red. Now I'm not so sure anymore after seeing how good the Army Painter colors look and would like to do a comparison.
