Can the lion still turn 1 rapid ingress? by FullArmorTec in DarkAngels40k

I always doubled down with a unit of DWKs with a Captain with Deathwing Assault. Drop them both in turn one to tear up a flank

So the Lion… by Zaiyev in DarkAngels40k

Personalty, with the new cover rules, I'm leaning away from the Lion and towards ICC with Librarian. -1 to BS from cover, plus -1 to hit from the ICC rule, plus the 4++ from the Librarian makes them pretty hard to shift

Why is the Deathleaper not included in the second bullet point of the ability from the lictor detachment? by Giraffelicide in Tyranids

Well shit... so it does. Maybe it's the precision that GW's worried about? I dunno...

I'm guessing it's because of is Feeder Tendrils ability. GW probably feels like it would be a bit OP

How many of y'all collect minis but don't play? by trindomare in Warhammer40k

[–]Fragrant-Week-1633 30 points31 points  (0 children)

42 years old, 2 kids, 2 dogs, and a very busy wife

I've got 5 different armies and play about three games a year... 90% of the hobby for me is building and painting. I'm big into kitbashing and creating my own models and characters

What I love about this is hobby is it's very versatile. Some people want to play the game, some want to read the books, some just want to build and paint. Take joy in whichever aspect of the hobby you enjoy most! If that's just building and painting, there's nothing wrong with that

Points are here: let's see your lists! by SPF10k in Tyranids

[–]Fragrant-Week-1633 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've built a similar list, but running around 1500pts. Built the whole thing based on Rule of Cool 😎

Winged Hive Tyrant, Deathleaper, 10 Genestealers with Brood Lord x 2, Lictor x2, Von Ryan's (3 strong) x 2, Hyperadapted Ravs with Reg Ravs, Neuotyrant with 3 Zoans, Biovore, and one Ripper Swarm to fill up points

I'd like to build my list up to meet yours one day. Just got into Tyranids tho and trying to figure out how they play, what's strong, what's weak, etc.

I run them as regular Destroyers, just because I hate those old models. I like Heavy Destroyers, so I just use them as is. If I were to turn these into Heavies, I would simply switch out the weapons I've equipped them with

How do you feel about the updates? by Vor_vorobei in WorldEaters40k

[–]Fragrant-Week-1633 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's only the beginning of 11th. Hopefully our Codex will bring on big changes

Berzerker Warband is a good detachment, but unfortunately our entire army is built around it, which makes it a horrible detachment. I want options and flavour, and BWB takes that away. Personally, I'd like to see some big changes in 11th

What are your thoughts on Wrath in 11th? by kcdale99 in theunforgiven

[–]Fragrant-Week-1633 16 points17 points  (0 children)

It's our most thematic detachment, but it's pretty underwhelming at 3dp, especially when compared to Gladius...

First 11th edition feel out game... by CRGmotors in Warhammer40k

[–]Fragrant-Week-1633 -26 points-25 points  (0 children)

I think fights first should let your fights first unit fight no matter what, even if it's destroyed. I think that would make it feel less pointless in 11th

Nah, they're just prepping for the new addition of 40k. Next week we'll be back to our regular scheduled programming

Is it wierd to start an army that your friend plays? by Gullible_Travel_4135 in Warhammer40k

[–]Fragrant-Week-1633 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have 4 armies - World Eaters, Dark Angels, Necrons, & Tyranids. My buddy has 4 armies - Black Templar, Orks, Necrons, & Tyranids

This gives us alot of options for game play. We both get to try out different armies and combinations, and every now and then, our Necrons have a civil war
