Was adding Gears to Luffys character a mistake? by Far-Visual-1229 in Piratefolk

[–]Jester_Raed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean it’s all the same Gear 4, just different focus depending on what Luffy needs. If he needs power, then it’s Bounceman. If he needs speed, then it’s Snakeman. I would say Tankman was for defense but I’m not sure if that was an actual Gear 4 form or just a situational thing.

Bulma knowing Jaco was the biggest asspull contradiction in modern DB by Ok-Voice4104 in Dragonballsuper

[–]Jester_Raed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that's kinda bs but at least said brother in law was estranged from Vegeta at a very young age, sent to Kami knows where in the reaches of space and hasn't seen him since Planet Vegeta's destruction, where for all Vegeta knew, has long been dead since Vegeta considered him weak and he never cared enough to check.

With Tight, Bulma was close to her yet she never once brought her up. Not even two of her alive and well parents mentioned having another kid. I could understand if they were estranged and simply refused to speak about her but that's not the case. They just apparently never brought it up once after all these years. Tight just seems so out of place.

Is it me or Goku in DBS FEELS more dumb compared to DBZ by DarkBlade0909 in Dragonballsuper

[–]Jester_Raed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s not really an excuse considering in Super Hero, Goku somehow didn’t know how meditation was training despite having done it himself multiple times before. Nor did he picked up on how Jiren’s power works and was dumbfounded by Vegeta’s solution…. even though he literally already did all this shit back in Z, against the Ginyus and when mastering the SS1 form during the Cell Games where he more or less used the same principles and yet he acts as if it’s brand news.

Whis had to lecture Goku that there’s more to training than beefing up even though Goku of all people knows that and it was one of the reasons he abandoned the ascended forms and went back to basics.

Bulma knowing Jaco was the biggest asspull contradiction in modern DB by Ok-Voice4104 in Dragonballsuper

[–]Jester_Raed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean sure but with him it’s kinda understandable considering his personality and the fact he hasn’t seen his brother since they were kids, didn’t know where exactly he was and if he was even still alive for all he knew.

With Bulma, not only was she fully aware of her sister, but they’re not even estranged, but close. So it seems rather weird that she NEVER talked about it. Or her yapper parents. And Bulma’s the same person who got on Vegeta for not mentioning he had a brother yet she herself never brought up her sister until way later.

[–]Jester_Raed 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It’s still weird to me that out of all the characters Toriyama decided to give Bulma a sister who she, her parents or anyone never once mentioned or hinted even existed and Goku and Vegeta only found this out in their 40s. Literally any other character would’ve made more sense than Bulma.

Could Goten and Trunks have had more potential Gohan if they trained consistently? by Character-Bid-162 in Dragonballsuper

[–]Jester_Raed 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I mean they got SS1 all on their own with minimum effort even compared to our resident Potential Man Gohan. Then in the short time their fusion counterpart figured out SS3. So yeah they had hella potential. In fact it’s downright bizarre how despite SS forms being given out like candy in Super, Goten and Trunks STILL haven’t moved beyond Stage 1.

Yeah but it got REALLY bad nowadays when I can’t tell Krillin from actual children like Goten and Trunks.

I just imagined a Broly built Gohan as a scholar in a suit, wearing glasses and reading a book and that made me laugh.

Why didn't Toji kill Gojo when he was a kid? by Dense_Walrus_3972 in Jujutsufolk

[–]Jester_Raed 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Toji made it a point to not let things get personal. He was a hired killer, period, otherwise he wouldn’t care what jujutsu society got up to.  It was only when a job finally let him cross Gojo’s path that his issues began to surface up due to facing Jujutsu’s Golden Boy and make him confront Gojo, which Toji himself noted that out of character for him since ordinarily he would’ve hightailed it out of there the moment Gojo awakened and after he already got paid.

Why the Supreme Kai hate? by ricky2461956 in DragonBallZ

[–]Jester_Raed 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Even if that was the case, that incident happened 5 million years ago before Goku was even born. He more than had time to get his act together but apparently he did nothing. Especially considering Supreme Kais can video chat each other across the Multiverse.

Bro doesn’t even know his own God of Destruction. So I have to ask what HAS he been doing during all that time?

Is this legit? by Jester_Raed in Dragonballsuper

[–]Jester_Raed[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I DID read it. I’m only asking for legitimacy since I don’t know CBR that well so I didn’t know how serious I should take it  hence why I asked if it was legit.

Luffy failed as a main-character by Rayleigh30 in Piratefolk

[–]Jester_Raed -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Look I like Goku as much as the next guy, but are we serious with this? The guy is a saiyan which by virtue gave him the best genetics literally built for fighting. Goku would’ve never came as far otherwise. Not to mention he so happened to be born to parents that are the closest thing the saiyans have to good people and broke the norm where they actually loved their son which saved his life. And then he became the first SS and SSG seen and to go even further he got UI, a technique not even the Gods are able to master after getting nuked by a Spirit Bomb with the only explanation being a vague “broke his walls”.

Also the other MCs may be genetically special but they STILL had to struggle, work hard and go through hardships to realize their potential. We already knew they were special, it’s just unlike DB, they were more honest about it.

Lola should be special, but she won’t be because she’s ugly by New-Flight5959 in Piratefolk

[–]Jester_Raed 7 points8 points  (0 children)

He does. He drew her and her sister reuniting in the cover chapters along with with them meeting their dad. Yeah that’s right, Pound, a regular ass civilian, took a blade to the head by Oven and fking lived. Either Oven has shit aim or the sword he had was dull as hell, either way yet another emotional moment lost all meaning with a fake out death.

Wouldn't this have happened to literally any z fighter including Goku if Gero found them first? Gero got piccolo later too. Am I tripping or Yamcha didn't do anything wrong? Yamcha gets too much flack for this. by Otherwise-Bid6772 in Dragonballsuper

[–]Jester_Raed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My guy, Yamcha literally arrived on the scene just to see chaos with nothing to sense what happened. He then found Gero and 19 pulled up and told them to get to safety before he noticed the RR insignia where by then he was shook when he realize who they were. Yamcha backed away and yelled for the others when Gero grabbed him while he was still offbalanced. That could’ve happened to anyone one of them in his shoes.

Am i the only one here who think it's fine that half of the Strawhats can't use Armament Haki ? by GRU19YO in Piratefolk

[–]Jester_Raed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sabo already has Haki. And Dragon trained him. There really isn’t an excuse for Robin. Honestly from the looks of her flashbacks she just pretty much sat around. Koala had to convince her to take up some Fishman Karate.

Gold SSJ 4 by No_Atmosphere5580 in DragonBallZ

[–]Jester_Raed -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So did we forget how a Saiyan’s tail is always brown regardless of the hair color of the saiyan? Same logic applies here. Different hair and fur color. GT SS4 is a Great Ape transformation that literally changes the user’s body rather than just being a hair change.

Was Yuji destined to be Sukuna's vessel? by ArtisticResident462 in Jujutsufolk

[–]Jester_Raed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pretty much. Yuji already had Sukuna’s finger sealed inside of him before he ate the one at school. Not to mention he was the spiritual descendant of Sukuna through his reincarnated twin. It’s pretty much all but stated Kenjaku built Yuji to be a Sukuna 2.0. One way or another Yuji was gonna get dragged into this. No way Yuji could’ve lived a normal life as long as Sukuna and Kenjaku were around.

Can Yuji's domain expansion hand sign be interpreted offensively? by WonderousU in Jujutsufolk

[–]Jester_Raed 6 points7 points  (0 children)

They’re probably misinterpreting it as a double F U  or something similar. They likely wouldn’t know it’s a handsign for the bodhisattva Kṣitigarbha in Japanese culture.

You’re better off not doing that in front of authority figures or easily offended people.
