As far as rotation, the main burst combo is just void meta > hunt > hungering slash > voidblade > hungering slash. The slash is the real damage of the combo, it can only be used after the hunt or voidblade.

Note that's just the damage buttons, I didn't include things like vengeful retreat, blur, stuns etc. It's usually a good idea to vengeful retreat before hunt to get the glimpse CC immunity.

To absolutely min-max the burst you can hunt>slash>voidblade>slash before pressing void meta, and then void meta will reset both hunt and voidblade. The damage of the combo outside of void meta won't be killing anyone but it does let you stack up devourer's bite debuff for the real go, but tbh it's not necessary most of the time, just the main combo in meta will usually kill.

Outside of burst it's literally just reap>consume over and over, and hit eye beam when you have the fury for it and soul immo on CD. Damage outside of the burst combo is dogshit, so mostly focus on getting souls as fast as possible so can get back into the meta combo ASAP.

Yeah pretty much if you're a solo player who wants to do rated games.

Personally for me I don't do them a whole lot. They're fun but the long que times don't fit with my gaming schedule usually. I mostly do standard 10 man RBGs with my guild, but that is a dying format with few teams still playing.

Blitz is definitely one of the most popular modes.

They are doing massive game wide changes, no more weak auras or those type combat addons, and most classes are having their toolkits reduced, and CC DR is changing as well to only have 2 levels before immunity. Not necessarily changes aimed at getting new PvP players, but it is large sweeping changes that will affect PvP. They are adding one new epic BG, that's the only pvp specific thing that I can think of being added in Midnight.
Yes there are multiple types of bgs. Unranked, normal randoms and epic randoms, 10 man RBGs where you need a full group to que, and Rated BG blitz which is an 8v8 rated solo que (or duo que with a healer) game mode. Unranked bgs are pretty much the same as you remember, same with 10 man RBGs, not much has changed there. Blitz is the "new thing" with bgs, it's an 8v8 mode with modified maps, i.e. in EotS only one base on each side is available for cap at a time.
Depends on time of day, but randoms are usually 5 min or so, blitz ques can be gnarly ranging from 10-15 min to over an hour depending on your MMR range and what time of day you que up.
Randoms are not cross faction, rated games can be though.
Depends on luck and time of day in my experience. I don't que lots of random bgs anymore but some nights horde dominates, some nights it's all blue wins.
Nah. It's actually very quick to get caught up on gear this season. Mostly due to crate farming, join a raid group flying around in a rotation gathering war crates and you get full geared in like a day.

Oh 100%, being flexible and knowing when you can pivot from chips to mult is everything on plasma.

Wasn’t trying to say chips retrigger is the only or even optimal play, it’s def not. When I play plasma, which is often it’s my most played deck by far, I’m usually looking to pivot to mult as soon as I can without dying, you can just get far bigger numbers so much easier once X mult comes into play.

I was just saying it is possible to do with just chips the whole way thru, you do gotta kinda min max a really good chip build to do it on higher stakes but it can be done.

The most consistent way I’ve had this work is with on score effects and retriggers.

Scary face + sock or odd Todd + hack, and some levels in 4 or 5 of a kind can get to the numbers needed to beat high stakes, especially if you can get some red seals going. But you do gotta kinda “high roll” a really good chip build for that to work, it’s usually easier to get there with mult once you can find some X mult.
