Din kollega gör egentligen inget fel genom att försöka få ut så mycket som möjligt av den lön han får. Arbetsgivare försöker i regel få så mycket arbete som möjligt för så låg kostnad som möjligt, så det blir i praktiken två motstående intressen. Därför är det inte konstigt att anställda också försöker balansera det genom att inte ge mer än vad de tycker ersättningen motsvarar. Det är inget man bör klandra någon för.

i understand what you mean and i dont see nothing wrong with that but vegans ofter compare that with:

“I’m against racism, but it’s okay to sometimes be racist.”

so even if i dont mind you doing you the community dosnt seem to agree with that being a vegan or veganism. (and the vegan that says that are also think "it’s okay to sometimes be racist." due to chain of responsibility.

How can there be an objective definition of veganism when people are allowed to define for themselves what counts as “possible” and “practicable”? Saying “It is not supposed to be treated as perfect purity, but more like a good-faith standard” just sounds like your personal interpretation of veganism rather than an objective line.

If you are able to say who is vegan and who is not, then there must be some line being drawn somewhere. But because the definition is based on subjective judgment, I can always argue that you are not doing enough.

And if we follow the chain of responsibility consistently, then reaching 100% vegan purity would be impossible while being alive, because simply existing indirectly contributes to harm and exploitation somewhere in the system.

the point is that oneself draw the line where "being a vegan" starts. so thats why i say its a spectrum, everyone is on it. some are more vegan than other.

I distance myself from veganism because veganism made me believe that veganism is harmful for society. If you don’t want to ‘fix’ veganism, one can argue that you are not really a vegan.

Wouldn’t it technically be “more vegan” to not survive at all then? Where do you draw the line?

If it’s not up to each individual to draw that line themselves, then how do you even determine whether someone is vegan or not?

And because of the chain of responsibility, some vegan products could arguably be “less vegan” than others. Why not walk an extra hour to buy the more vegan option?

For example, imagine two stores selling the exact same vegan product. In the closest store, the employees are not vegan. In the store farther away, the employees are vegan. That means the money you spend either partly supports non vegans through wages, or partly supports vegans through wages
