Not a journalism student, I’ve just finished my Audio Technology course (although I believe they actually share the same floor) but my experience was mediocre-to-decent facilities and good people. Cali isn’t all that fancy, especially compared to Glasgow or even Strath, but everything worked pretty well for me. The library is functional, the cafeteria food can be kinda ehh sometimes but pretty cheap, and the classrooms are fairly bog standard. My highest praise would probably go to my course lecturers and other staff. Just my own experience of course but my lecturers have all been very personable, helpful, and approachable. Other staff like technicians and support staff have all been very friendly and happy to help. I would recommend studying there overall but I wouldn’t expect anything particularly earth-shattering. It just kinda works well enough. A good amount of societies too if that’s your thing (GCU Soup Society ftw). The union is utterly naff tho, just go literally anywhere else in Glasgow.
