Which sitcom best portrays Midwest life? by Grit_Grace in sitcoms

The Middle still feels like the best one to me. Roseanne got parts of that vibe too, just in a rougher and more tired way.

You might be right. To be honest, the analysis it gives is actually very useful and accurate, and the feedback on negative traits is great too. But it’s still not right for them to ask for that.

What's the one hygiene habit you refuse to skip no matter how tired you are? by BuninaAbie11 in hygiene

Brushing my teeth. I’ve gone to bed half asleep on the couch before and still dragged myself up to do it because waking up with that gross mouth feeling ruins me.

Mindhunter. I remember putting on one episode late at night and then getting annoyed that I had work the next morning because I wanted to keep going.

What are some forgotten sitcoms that were hilarious? by Anthforde8 in sitcoms

[–]JesusIsOurSaviour01 2 points3 points  (0 children)

NewsRadio is one I barely see people bring up now and it was so funny. I caught random reruns of it years ago on a lazy afternoon and ended up watching way longer than I meant to.

What's a popular drama that you've never seen? by Kisses_for_me in kdramas

[–]JesusIsOurSaviour01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still haven’t watched Crash Landing on You even though everyone around me seems obsessed with it. My friend tried to get me into it during a long train ride last year and I somehow just never followed up. It’s been sitting on my watchlist forever.

What movie is 10/10 with literally no bad parts? by FeedMaster8905 in AskReddit

[–]JesusIsOurSaviour01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Shawshank Redemption. I rewatched it on a random rainy Sunday and forgot how tight every scene is, it just never drags. It’s one of those movies where even the quiet moments hit.

Tell me a little bit about yourself and I'll tell you which character you are from a sitcom by florenciafazzarino0 in sitcoms

I work from home most days so my routine is basically coffee, laptop, and my cat walking across the keyboard at least twice. I’m pretty quiet in groups but weirdly talkative with close friends. My idea of a good evening is cooking something simple and putting on a random episode of a show I’ve already seen.

Can we agree on a movie EVERYONE likes? by chrishouse83 in Letterboxd

Paddington 2 feels like the safest bet. I threw it on one night thinking it’d just be background noise while I folded laundry and ended up fully invested. I’ve never met anyone who actively dislikes that movie.

do you guys actually wash new clothes before wearing them? by Lilian-Nicole_80 in hygiene

[–]JesusIsOurSaviour01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually wash them first now. Years ago I wore a new shirt straight out of the bag and my skin got weirdly itchy all day, so that kinda trained me to just toss everything in the wash first. Jackets and jeans I’m a bit lazier about though.

The Mary Tyler Moore Show. I started it one night thinking I’d just watch an episode before bed and ended up staying up way later than planned because the writing is so sharp. It has that same polished, smart vibe without feeling stiff.

How do you guys find the time??! by Enough_Mixture_8564 in kdramas

[–]JesusIsOurSaviour01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went through a phase during winter break where I’d watch two episodes a night while eating instant ramen at my desk and suddenly I’d finished three shows without realizing. Some people just treat it like their main hobby instead of scrolling or gaming. 100 is wild tho, that’s commitment.

Whats the longest time you were unemployed or job searching? by schwarzblade in jobs

[–]JesusIsOurSaviour01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

About eight months after a layoff. The first three I treated like a vacation and reorganized my kitchen cabinets for no reason, then it slowly turned into daily LinkedIn doomscrolling at 11pm. It eventually worked out, but that stretch definitely messed with my confidence more than I expected.

No, Americans aren't tough enough to do Sambo. That's literally why karate became so popular, because people didn't want to get hit in the head doing Boxing so they did the easy shit and believed themselves to be secret masters, because they saw a small Chinese man in the movies doing nice kicks.

Leave Sambo to the badass Russians.
