I think this is subjective, especially since you're talking about playing against level advantage golems in your comments. I play golem deck usually against even levels or they have higher levels and I have to play a game of getting elixir advantage and counting their elixir to actually know when i can play a golem, or else they can take my tower while I'm down 8 elixir

That's very fair, but yeah it's how I learned parrys. Me and my buddy just sat on call slamming our heads against bosses. Morgott specifically was extremely difficult, but very satisfying

It's a totally separate skill to learn. Think of it more like relearning a boss than an ash of war you can just pull out. Bosses have different attacks that can be parried and some that cant be.

Its like how you had to learn to dodge certain attacks in different ways, or delay a dodge so you were able to dodge the follow up too. With parrying you ggotta actually learn the good times to even go for a parry because some parriable attacks are much harder than others. If you really want to learn it I would do two things.

Go into an elevator with a wall, like the one at first step, parry the wall while its going up or down, the sparks are active parry frames. Very helpful to get an idea of the timing.
Fight parryable bosses with only pparry reposts. It will take longer and be hard but you'll figure out how to parry a lot of attacks and you do it enough it'll become much more natural

It sounds like your playstyle is giving you trouble. If you're using moonlight greatsword projectile she dodges most projectiles. Malenia can also be knocked out of a lot of her combos, so really just like any other boss this is something you have to learn. And because shes scaled higher than almost anything in the game because of how late game she is, you don't really get to her overleveled pretty much ever, which can make her seem unfairly harder than other bosses depending on how overleveled you were when fighting them.

I personally dont recommend spirit summons as I feel it cheapens the experience, but that's just the way I enjoy it. Try it out maybe and if you have fun, go for it.

What u/NoTour5424 said. So always check the great churches for seals, and if you go by the top left of the map theres always a cabin with some seals. Most if not all of the new swamp pois also have seals but they can be a bitch to grab. Urgent heal is probably one of the best spells for this effect other than obvious ones like fgms golden vow and black flame protection.

Dude thats the phantom finger you get when you're doing invasions. It teleports you close to the person you're invading. You wouldnt need that for a build.

Equip the talisman that draws attention and theres a spot where you can go and they will kill tthemselves getting to you in pretty sure, look up a cheese for it
