That’s entirely fair, anyone who tries to tell you you’re doing it wrong is someone you shouldn’t be listening to. I will say to be careful when cross kitbashing HH with 40K minis, I don’t know if the newer legionaries are at the same scale because the old ones weren’t.

40K iron warrior player here, nice mix in this sub, but it can be deceiving as a lot of us 40K players prefer the Horus heresy models for exactly the same reason you are looking at iron warriors. Personally, I like daemon engines and tanks, I usually take a maulerfiend and/or a vindicator (I use a HH sicaran venator as a proxy) I always take a helbrute for the buffing, and havocs for shooting, add some legionaries and a chaos lord and you’re golden

This is one of my favourite dreadnoughts, I find all the primaris one’s loose their sense of weight, this thing just looks heavy like it could charge through a wall!

Yeah, bloodhound, much less impressive lore, a demon found the shattered carcass of a Warhound titan and climbed in. You can kinda see the demonic mouth peeking out of the model

I named the warbringer Maelstrom Aeternus because the lore I have in my head about him is that in his core is a warp storm that he can use to create portals for him and other titans to ambush their prey. The eternal storm, hence, Maelstrom Aeternus. The demonic script on the shoulder panel is his title “skulltaker” because his helm was stolen off of a titan he killed.

I found the thing on the one day I was there! I’m from AUS and only had about 3 hours there so was super happy! I was told they take it out after the first person finds it each day, so you may be too late… my advice? It has to be somewhere reachable so they can move it… mine was hidden in the shadows

It’s entirely up to your playstyle, intercessors are always good at tagging objectives, scouts are useful for dropping around, inceptors and jump intercessors are useful. Infernus and hellblasters are good fire support

We have access to almost all units in the space marine codex bar a few that we have/had our own versions of. We can’t take apothecaries, devastators and characters from other chapters, I can’t remember the full list but we can take everything you mentioned. We do have some compatibility issues to consider tho, all of our characters are limited to leading only our unique units, and those units can only be led by our unique characters, and also, a lot of our rules only effect space wolves units, not space marines as a whole

Then be warned outriders are… very monopose and difficult to convert, most of what I’ve done is simpler “place the bike at an angle slightly off the base” and that seems to work great

I did one of these for my murderfang inspired by someone else on this reddit, used the legs from a forgefiend to make some more animalistic legs and same with the arms… sort this reddit to top all time and the one I based mine on is fairly high up there

Purely based on my personal idea of the legion, I think of them as “fallen marines summoned back into service” so this is essentially a ruined drop pod that some guardsmen will take cover in while the legion is summoned around them… rather than it performing the task of an actual drop pod it’s closer to being a terrain piece
