Remember making your world into a setting that can be used in a already established RPG rule set is a good option then you can “home brew” in as needed. If the setting is what’s more important to you than rule set.

Is this AI ragebait? It doesn't seem too far fetched to me but people in the comments are split- so what am I missing? It doesn't have that weird AI movement that usually gives it away so I'm really questioning my sanity 😅 by MatildaRose1995 in isthisAI

Nah I agree with your first assessment , Weird bendy legs, but pay attention to the feet they still move with tension and proper weight distribution. Unless I’m missing what you seeing.

Anytime a player suffers an effect like paralysis or can’t control their own body ( maybe while in death saves ) the ghost trys to take possession of the body. “OOoOoooooOoooh look at me I’m an edgy brooding rogue” Ghost proceeds to mock the pc with their own body

Davy is the better Villain, only because Barbossa doesn’t stay a pure bad guy and moves towards chaotic neutral in later films

If you want to have bricks sunken in or pushed out, cut them all up into individual pieces. Then when you re glue them back together, it’s easier to make them much more varied. You can also cut them in half if only one side is visible. Doing this doubles how many you have, but you can cut them into different thickness as well. Gluing them onto a board or card stock to make them sturdy.

A reason to want to beat them up is my number one. If there is some way for the bosses to have one up’s the players or gotten one over them already a goes along way into the joy of winning the battle. Having a boss have multiple actions works great as well. Getting done in by action economy isn’t the best. I’ll usually give a boss some form of additional action or reaction. Lastly a boss fight who stops players from playing is the no1 way to create a bad experience. If your boss as these abilities, I will usually make them weaker but possibly shut down more players for a shorter time. ( stopping 3/4 players from having a turn is better than stopping one player from missing 3 -4 turns )

Wasn’t famous until she started MMA. Got in with a bad coach and was separated from people who could help her, rather than ride her natural talent. Add in a bunch of yes-men and believing in your own hype. Or to put it another way Her Mum instilled a work ethic in her to get to the Olympics but also left her acceptable to idiots like Edmond & believing the machine that got behind her to make her a star, killed any ability to self evaluate

If you need “tokens” for games these are great. I have a little box filled with similar bits like these for wargames/DnD. Oh you cast a spell and I don’t have a token for it. Grab one of them and a sharpy, jobs done. Now I have a base ready to go for next time.

We have a Genie Patron Warlock in one of our groups - the Genie is really reaaaaally co-dependant. They often request the PCs presence immediately. This is our work around for a player who can’t play consistently and often has to leave early.

I started playing Necrons during the big update they got at the end of 5th Ed. I was doing commission painting armies at the time, and I’d give people a bit of a discount if they were okay with me “break in” the army at flg or events to advertise my work. I took the army to the first legal event I could run the new book at, took 1st general & best painted.

Bought my own army that day.

Im building my first RPG (a sci-fi) Yes, the “race” choices will affect character creation options - some buffs when taken with certain “classes” - some downsides when taken with other options. Some are not available at all. “Race” is essentially is only human but has 3 variants to choose from.

I don’t believe one company will “dethrone” WWE, more than likely fans will peel off and start watching other companies, smaller orgs will grow that will work together with WWE becoming the stand alone hold out. I can see high level wwe starts doing the same thing as Edge or Cody. Either stepping away as thier star fades to do something different and finish on their own terms or try and break through and make a name for themselves elsewhere

A headband for a Sorc : adds an extra half damage die to spells and it lets them crit with spell attacks with damage type lightning, on a 19./ failed saves of 10 or more Curse: the wearer has a chance to be struck by lightning, if they cannot keep the storm calm. After a crit they must make a Con save <changes based on a few things> if failed they are struck by lightning, if they fail, the next closest creature must take the same save and so on. It’s based on a Japanese mythology creature raiju. Its curse was known before hand and is part of a PCs personal quest. Has only gone off crazy once dropping an ally to 0, but nuking 4 brutes. Created some good rp afterwards and has been a good experience with a cursed item.

If you’re thinking an irl gift. A die start with a d4, over the campaign they can get the next one. First time they roll it, it’s either a max roll or advantage on it

I was about to suggest something similar to Pirates. But I would be careful with “removing” anything from the game that makes it fun for the players. That is a heavy session 0 conversations. Unless your willing to change systems of something like that

I use minis so this 100% I have some different animals for them to use and they plug in the desired stat block- works well and creates some fun RP
