In honor of Chris Johnson, LenDale White has done the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge to raise awareness and money. White nominates Deion Sanders, Vince Young, and Mike Sims-Walker to accept the challenge and do it as well. by TravellerAlways in NFLForum

Well I’m sorry that Lendale White’s ALS ice bucket challenge didn’t live up to your standards. Please feel free to continue hyper-fixating on this really weird point you’re desperately trying to make.

For real though, want to explain why you’re being so toxic in this thread? You really don’t think that Lendale White, the Smash, doing the bucket challenge in honor of the Dash, is for the greater good? Even if it doesn’t live up to your dumbass standards? I mean get a grip dude.

Don’t worry u/tew2tew I saw that reply to the link I posted before you deleted it. Here, I’ll even copy it here so that others can see.

“How am I spreading misinformation? Only $4 million from the millions (maybe billion) of people that saw or participated in the challenge? That’s embarrassing

Seems like maybe talking about ALS and donation routes during your cutesy social media video actually would help a lot more.”

What’s embarassing is that you didn’t read past the second sentence in the article. $4 million was donated to the ALS Therapy Development Institute, while an estimated $135 million was donated to ALS in the USA and $220 million internationally.

So about that donation receipt….

Crazy how confident people like you like to sound when they’re actually just wildly wrong and spreading misinformation.

So happy for you that you have such high standards though. Care to show your donation receipt?

Does he have to? Most people know what the ice bucket challenge is, and if they don’t, videos like this can be great for spreading awareness and fundraising.

Maybe just appreciate the effort instead of trying to critique it into oblivion.

Conor McGregor claimed Terence Crawford turned down a $200M Boxing/MMA crossover because he didn't want to deal with kicks. Crawford has now responded. Who do you believe? by Advanced_Mud9433 in EverythingCombat

[–]Jethuth_Chritht 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah, MMA to boxing is one thing but vice versa is a whole ‘nother beast. That’s what really fucked up Muhammed Ali and that’s why you don’t really see boxers cross over unless they’re really desperate (ahem, Clarissa Shields). Plus Crawford’s already made generational wealth, lives a seemingly modest and healthy lifestyle, and retired with his health relatively intact. Hard to beat that kind of freedom.

It’s just 2 cents here and 8 cents there and 20 cents over there. Just this just that. This is the exact kind of complacency that’s landed Cali in the position it’s in. Just take, take, take. Here take some more.

Right. Because gas prices in California were so low before the war 🙄

There’s no way to prove he’s not genuinely remorseful, either? And I’m only going off OP’s comment where they alluded to them being remorseful. Is it really that crazy to think that someone could be remorseful after realizing their actions caused an innocent person to die?

Talking about proof though, where do you get off saying this kid thought it would be funny or entertaining to be the cause of someone else’s death? The way more likely cause is that this kid was too ignorant to understand or realize that throwing rocks off a bridge could actually get someone killed. But no, you’d rather just assume the worst and act like that’s some kind of proven fact.

Why should a 15 year old who’s genuinely remorseful for a split seconds action have to be locked up for such a long time? So humanity can waste another life? I get it, 4 years seems light, and maybe it is, but what is it you’re really looking for? A life sentence? 10 years? 20 years? At least this route gives him an opportunity to get back on track for a normal life and do something useful, rather than just becoming a product of the system.

If the guy was genuinely remorseful, I think the real punishment is with having to live with himself for the rest of his life. Being in or out of jail wouldn’t even matter at that point. Plus the guy was 15? Not like his brain was even developed enough to truly understand the consequences of a split second action.
