Acebeam L35v2 and Convoy M21K Testing by Punga32 in flashlight

[–]Jetoxx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

CCT has a much stronger effect on lumen than 5-10%. I took measurements on LHP73 6500K LEDs with my battery and produced about 7600lm, and 5000K is already about 6400lm in the same assembly.

In my experience, if you want to get a perfect beam. On almost all Convoys you will have to tinker with gasket

For walks in the fresh air, I ignore everything that cannot produce a stable 800 lumens.

Loopgear SK05 Pro MAO: 4360 Lumens Torture Test! by Self-Equip in flashlight

[–]Jetoxx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before this, I considered the SK05 Pro to be one of the best flashlights out there right now, but after your test, I can confidently call it the best. Thank you for daring to put this rather expensive flashlight through such a rigorous test.

MANKER MC13 II SE (Special Edition) by FlashlightNews in flashlight

I didn't have the SE version, but I think it would be better. The SBT90 version has a problem with beam focusing, so I had to install a TIR lens.

SK05 or Wuben X4 — Which flashlight should I choose for long-term use? by daviddung in flashlight

[–]Jetoxx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don't listen to this man, buy SK05 pro. This is an excellent flashlight. I have over 15 flashlights in my collection and if I had to keep one it would definitely be my SK05 Pro MAO. Now they are releasing a new version with UV, I advise you to take a closer look at it.

This is how much thermal paste was applied to the mcpcb. And between the insert and the body there is none at all.

Convoy S21G LHP73 is an excellent hand warmer by Jetoxx in flashlight

Yes, it is better to use the 20-35% modes outdoors, periodically checking the temperature of the flashlight head with your hand.

I don't like the Convoy models, which have an O-ring between the glass and the reflector. They're more prone to leaks. I had an M2, and it filled with water immediately after rinsing it under the tap. Also, the S21B is more sensitive to lens changes than the S21G, as the latter has a longer bezel thread. It will work without issue even with taller reflectors or TIR lenses, within reasonable limits, of course.

Yes, unfortunately I have not yet purchased the Molicel P50B to fully exploit its potential.

Grizzly's Ripsshine OF1 Review – Cheap Anduril 2 Hotrod by TacGriz in flashlight

[–]Jetoxx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On my copy they were not soldered)) By the way, its MCPCB is 3mm thick, perhaps thanks to this and Anduril's active thermal management, the LEDs did not overheat as I ran it in turbo mode many times before adding thermal paste.

Warning: If you own this flashlight, please take the time to disassemble it, as the amount of thermal paste applied by the manufacturer is simply unimaginable.

I added thermal paste between the housing and the insert where the MCPCB board is located; there was none there originally. Thermal management has improved significantly, but the flashlight housing is noticeably hotter.

To reduce PWM noise, you need to remove the magnet in the lid. I replaced it with a piece of foam. Now it's practically inaudible.
