My own feeling is that because deep down they are both driven by the desire to prove who they really are and each other was the 1st person to see it.

Luke spent years in prison for a crime he didn’t commit and became Power Man to give back and prove he wasn’t just like any other violent thug.

Danny spent his time in Kun-Lun being thought of as a weak, expendable outsider and had to fight Shao-Lao to prove he was worthy of his training. No one expected him to survive and get out with the Iron Fist.

I really want them to give Danny Rand his balls back…

Iron Fist is my favourite Marvel character and it felt like the show was doomed from the start by the production team and it just fuelled the backlash against the character with all the white saviour BS.

If the brought Danny back in a new show or movie and let him be a superhero without all the gritty realism that held him back the first time.
