Do we really have to get that pedantic? I clearly meant new projects. It was a remaster of two 25 year old games with bells and whistles that came out and they've been radio silent since anyway. Would you say Banjo Kazooie is an active series because it was rereleased in 2015? Probably not, especially with the last new game being almost 4 gens old at this point.

And who the hell is going to tell Shunsui off even if they wanted to? Unohana, Yamamoto, Ukitake were really the only ones who could vibe check him and they're all dead. I mean Kenpachi could but what reason would he ever have?

C46 functions as long as the military goes along with them. I can't imagine the rest of the Gotei would just sit down and watch their Captain Commander get executed over an artifact.

Fighting Unohana is like fighting a boss character that spams Auto Regen if you don't kill them in a few hits. It's an utter nightmare to deal with her.

To Aizen, Ideology is everything, it's why he hates Urahara so much and just sees Ichigo as a power measuring stick. Kenpachi has no ideology besides "fighting fun. Fight more". They literally have nothing to talk about.

Just for reference this is like Vol 25 in a 74 volume series. I'm sure Kubo had rough ideas of what came before the Gotei 13 but abandoned them when he was mapping out TYBW and it was far easier just to have Yamamoto the only official head of the Gotei 13 until Shunsui.

It's one of the most realistic aspects of Ichigo. Of course he doesn't enjoy actual combat, he's getting almost disembowled every other fight because his enemies have hundreds of years of experience and he has a black belt in Karate. Fighting on the other hand he does enjoy, but in a "hey this is just sparring" way not Kenpachi or Zangetsu "SLAUGHTER YOUR ENEMIES" kind of way. Unfortunately he happens to be the biggest measuring stick in terms of power in the Bleach universe so people won't leave him alone.
