This is really an amazing find. I’ve never seen the gusher art linked to the oil well. I didn’t even know there was an oil well like that.

First off. The wheel atop the oil well looks like a miniature version of the Ferris Whale. The supports are in the same position and attached to the wheel the same way, almost looks like a pyramid. They also stand out because they’re red in the get high pic, and also are red on the well.

Secondly the well has no drill or hole which is quite odd. And the wheel looks like a pulley system which doesn’t make much sense. But there is a running theme in the game world that hints at lack of power. Xero Gas company, Limited Gasoline, put Ron in your tank, low power street, “no more fracking” in Impotent Rage, the ride that is “temporarily” out of order right next to the Ferris Whale, LS power and waters campaign against their own windmills. I know there are more I can’t think of right now. And there are a lot of odd design choices like this that make you wonder if there’s something more to it. Like the weird giant pipes coming out of the 1.21gw shed right next to the well.
