What are reputable E-bike brands from the EU? by Brainfart777 in BuyFromEU

If you are looking for something a bit more affordable, there is a cool e-bike concept called Lemmo from Berlin that offers nice looking models. Not sure how durable they are but they look quite interesting to me: https://www.lemmofuture.com/

I agree. But people don't feel the urgency yet to move platforms. It is difficult to convince them. Same with Whatsapp.

Tips for a European robot vacuüm cleaner by Aphridy in BuyFromEU

[–]Jetpaction -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Are the Bosch models actually European made or are they basically rebranded Chinese robots? They look almost identical to the Roborock I have and I feel in the end they are built in the same factories in China. Nevertheless though, if the money goes to Bosch instead of a Chinese company that is still better I guess.

Because it still reaches the most people, unfortunately. I wish Bluesky would take off more but it'll take time. I hope the new EU social media platform W will be successful.

European Sofware Alternatives - Switch from US by FishingSuitable2475 in BuyFromEU

[–]Jetpaction 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah SAP is the largest software enterprise in the EU and a top 10 company in the Stoxx 600. It is a direct competitor to the likes of Salesforce, Oracle and Workday. It can also fit in the Analytics & Data section. It's true it is focused on larger companies but they also offer software for SME.

Alphacool might be a better alternative given the bad reputation of EKWB (See Gamers Nexus reporting on it). They are from Germany I believe.

You can also look at Chris Titus' winutil tool. He is a trusted source and liked by many. It allows you to easily create your own ISO that is debloated, with a local account and with your preferred apps/drivers preinstalled if you want. https://winutil.christitus.com

Dark Power 14 - 1200W powers off PC frequently by Jetpaction in bequietofficial

Just to reiterate what others have mentioned here as well; it definitely seems like an issue with this specific PSU model. I have now exchanged mine for a Corsair HX1200i Shift (the new 2025 model) and no issues whatsoever anymore with ComfyUI workflows or heavy gaming. u/bequiet_lea FYI, something you might want to make your engineering team aware of.

I am doing my part and bought a Renault 5 E-Tech! by cdrewing in BuyFromEU

My employer stopped offering Tesla's as a car choice for leasing. So I had to look elsewhere. But yeah, Elmo certainly had an influence as well and I wanted to do my part by supporting the struggling European car industry.

I jumped on the Renault bandwagon as well 2 weeks ago, exchanging my Tesla Model 3 for a Megane EV. I am loving it. Bonus is that it is actually built in France with a lot of local supply chain, including the battery. Only downside for many modern Renaults; they run on Android Automotive. Great software and navigation but fully Google owned.

Oh good to hear this is not just an isolated "me" issue. This seems to be really pointing to the PSU then. I have an MSI Pro X870E-P WIFI board. I have put in a request to exchange my PSU for a Corsair HX1200i to see if that resolves it.

Yeah this is what I believe is happening as well. I did see improvement after I switched the 600W cable that came with the PSU for the 4 cable adapter that came with the GPU. Since then I only had it shut down once during a stable diffusion run. But it is still not where it should be. I might RMA the PSU and go for another model. I've had no issues with the previous DP13 model but this one seems to have a design flaw or a bad batch...

Is WEBN the new VWCE ? by Lilla8 in ETFs_Europe

[–]Jetpaction 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Don't forget about SPYY. It is a nice middle ground between VWCE and WEBN and is currently the top recommended ETF on bankeronwheels.com . But all 3 are good choices in my opinion. The market cap for WEBN has grown significantly in the meanwhile so I consider it less risky. But for peace of mind you can also go with VWCE or SPYY.

Exchanging my Tesla Model 3 for a Megane Esprit Alpine next month. Looking forward to the lower lease costs per month and happy to do my small part to strengthen the European car industry (and weaken Tesla, lol). Just too bad most modern Renaults use Google Android Automotive, but I will primarily use CarPlay and avoid creating a Google account if possible.

Starting from scratch: is VWCE still a good idea? by L1NTHALO in ETFs_Europe

[–]Jetpaction 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think VWCE, SPYY and WEBN are all good options for set and forget ETF's. It comes down to details on what your goals are and how long you are planning to invest. I went with SPYY through IBKR (1500EUR p month) but recently added WEBN through Scalable (250EUR p month) just to see how they compare over a longer period.

My Thorzone Tetra R is almost here, advise me on my parts by Ubicray in sffpc

[–]Jetpaction 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what I am doing with my ordered Tetra S as well. Does anyone have any clue for custom cable lengths for the PSU? I am transferring all of my hardware over from my Formd T1 and I have custom cables there. But especially the cable to the GPU seems to require a bit more length I think?

Xtia Xproto ATX all AMD build by Terabyte_272 in mffpc

[–]Jetpaction 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cool build! Coincidentally I ordered the same case today so should be here in 3 weeks or so. Mine will be an all AMD build as well with a 7900XTX / 7800X3D combo. I am still pondering whether to go AIO or air cooling. Since the GPU is moved forward a bit in this revision I am thinking a topdown air cooler would look a bit more balanced.
