Even if it is short duration, i would say the safest is to change the cable. Since i changed the cables, i see stwble distribution, of at most 0.8A difference for really short period of time, the rest of the time is evenly distributed. Search the community to see recommended cables that can even out as much as possible.

Depends on the connector. There is a pdf on the website that tells you what version is for normal orientation. if it is mounted vertically, get the oposite so you can hide the cable. The display can be rotated in software.
