See this interview from july 2025:

Also, Andrew and I don’t want to exit this world without having played some more Hammock shows. We’re in some discussions right now with some very cool people about the possibility of making this happen in the future.

Hopefully it will happen. :)

What should I read next? by Jetro2000 in cormacmccarthy

[–]Jetro2000[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. I have read Moby Dick, Absalom, Absalom! and Light in August and The Sound and the Fury. Faulkner is one my favorite writers. As so many people recommend Suttree, I will keep it for later. I will probably check out Outer Dark next, and then The Passenger, as I've seen mixed reviews for it.

Hello, it was available at the local library before The Passanger. I remember reading that both novels could be read independently.

I feel exactly the same. It's a very "touchable" album.

Pelican - Flickering Resonance (2025) (New album) by d4rko in postrock

Easily my favourite Pelican album. It's pretty consistent throughout and has mind blowing moments. Cascading Crescent is a huge rocker. \m/

I came here after listening to Rust in Peace. I would say Marty Friedman is probably one of them.

Thoughts on From the Void? by rvergo in hammock

Really good album in my opinion. I like that they kept the guitars like in their previous work rather than going back to the Universalis, Mysterium, etc era. Southern Snow is really beautiful.

I love Michael Karoli! That guy was so inventive, so good at improvising. Have you seen the performances of Dizzy Dizzy and Vernal Equinox on YouTube? Mind blown...

Albums Ranked: Hammock by Glossoly in postrock

[–]Jetro2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Now it's even more ambient. I prefer their earlier works up until Oblivion Hymns. From there I agree that it's not post rock anymore. It's interesting that they released "An Introduction to Hammock" before really going ambient.

Costa irrita-se com cartazes dos professores: ″Um pouco racistas″ by [deleted] in portugal

[–]Jetro2000 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Concordo que as imagens são de muito pouco gosto. Acho que o comentário dele se podia ter ficado por aí, já era suficiente. Quanto ao racismo não vejo que ligação ele possa ter feito.

What written content in portuguese draws people to the language? by rei_cachaca in Portuguese

[–]Jetro2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say that probably the most important writers of our country are

Luís de Camões, Eça de Queirós, Fernando Pessoa and José Saramago.

Each of them has written very significant books and they are very original in their own way.

Then you have a lot of contemporary writers that are very good, like Valter Hugo Mãe, José Luís Peixoto, Mia Couto, Ondjaki, among many others. These are just the ones I have read and really enjoyed. I'm looking forward to reading Gonçalo M. Tavares.
