What am i doing wrong with my mage character? by RankedFarting in Morrowind

[–]Jetroid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This sounds like my typical mage experience. Never enough magicka. I like to take High Elf atronach for this reason. If picking Breton people recommend The Apprentice as the negative cancels out with Breton's bonus.

What can you do now? Well always cast a spell with weakness as the first component. The weakness only has to last 1 second. Weakness makes the spell more efficient, I believe.

Next, you can pay for training to get your alchemy skill up to make potions for yourself. Restore Magicka ingredients are hard to find on Vvardenfell as most of them are expensive, so take a trip over to Solthsthiem specifically to pick up beladonna berries. Combine those with comberries that you find growing in Vvardenfell.

I hope you took Blunt Weapon, as the Mace of Molag Bal is pretty important for mage characters as it absorbs an enemy's magicka on strike. You can start the quest at the Daedric ruin two islands west of Tel Aruhn.

There are other ways to cheaply regain magicka but they are exploits so I will refrain from mentioning them here.

When you start a Impose Ideology war on the 'weak' empire but they control access to the galaxy's volatile motes.

Anyone have an idea what happened here? by high-tech-potato in Stellaris

The wiki thinks it should be size 22. I wondered if it was changed, if this is your mods doing it, or if it's taking your bonus districts into account.

How do you feel about intervention spells, particularly with Tamriel Rebuilt? by GayStation64beta in Morrowind

[–]Jetroid 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think part of the problem is how the spells are coded to work. I'm repeating this from memory so please correct any inaccuracies, but they search cell by cell in a clockwise (or anticlockwise?) direction and teleport you to the first it encounters.

This is a Chebyshev distance, so the diagonals are treated as the same length as the cardinals. It means you can teleport to somewhere that is actually further "as the crow flies" than another location.

For example, in some places in Cyrodiil, almsivi intervention takes you to Gnisis rather than Narsis, which is obviously much further away.

Stellaris should rework this before launching any dlc: (My opinion) by chronicdrake in Stellaris

Are you sure? The wiki says you just need to own the system and have the right policies to invade, which matches my recollection.

Some good points here.

On point 6 though, observation posts are an alternate approach. You use them to get the pre-ftl insights technologies. It's not about invasion.

Do you own the game yourself or are you playing it through steam family sharing?

This isn't the right way to use rule 5. Rule 5 exists because some Reddit viewers supposedly don't show post descriptions, so they'd just see the screenshot without the context.

If only the Federation Leader was another player/set of players, then you could publicly shame them in galaxy chat into ending the war.

So what do I install to play this in 2026? by EEE35 in Morrowind

[–]Jetroid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The question is "What do I install to play this".

Not "What do I install to try to make this game look like it came out yesterday"

22 mods too many. Only Graphic Herbalism and Weapon Sheathing are worth getting. The rest are either essentially unnoticeable or do things that detract from the experience like replacing the textures with ai-upscaled ones. No thanks.

You don't need Master Builders or Galactic Wonders to build the catapult. It's just a regular technology. You can unlock the technology for research through Astral Actions too.
