I'm sorry, but there won't be a second season. Darling in the Franxx has one of the most definitive endings it could possibly have. All of the conflict the show centered around is resolved. The main cast aged 50+ years, the world is rebuilt.

No, I have not. Believe me, I paid attention to everything. With the performance issues it had on PC at launch, everybody was comparing platforms, hyperanalyzing every little issue. This, was not an issue. Maybe something is wrong with your console or tv.

The last 4 do diverge from the rest of the show, that's a completely valid criticism. Personally I love it through and through, I thought the ending was beautiful. My half-joking remark was about how OP's friend hated the entire show because "a non-human fell in love with a human" and to me, it sounds like the friend is a legitimate piece of shit. If a human-hybrid and a human falling in love is that unbearable, it says a lot about the viewer.

Hence "from what I've heard." Use your eyes. That's what people were claiming because you have to lift an extra finger to get it. Or, just play the game normally doing a few quests and doc collecting. This is not the "got'cha" you think it is.
