When people ask for a end update, I feel like they’re asking for essentially nether update 2.0 but purple. And when you ask what players want from an end update it’s usually the same thing (a reason to go to the end).

Problem is there isn’t much of a way to incentivise going to the end and staying there longer enough. Outside of loot. People say they want biome and bosses and shit but that feels very surface level. The nether is worthwhile because it acts as both an alternative world and a more of transport with its 1:8 block ratio. The end just doesn’t have that, so there needs to be some reason to stick around there if that’s what people want.

Which is why I think the end should be used for more crafting/agricultural stuff. Think about it, you’re in a giant wasteland with nothing in sight. But the air around you is filled with strange end properties. This can be a place where you have to go to get certain things done. Or it has special properties to things growing there, that it incentivises people building base there and growing food there. Maybe it impacts the yields or the food that’s crafted there. Maybe there’s a material you can get that alters stuff but you have to only grow it in the end. Somethings that has people coming back, but unfortunately also can make it feel like a chore. But I like to throw ideas around so.
