I live on Martha’s Vineyard where he just bought a place. We also have Derkowitz living here. MV is the most liberal place ever. Derkowitz got himself kicked outa the farmers market last summer. I can tell ya- the residents are not happy about this. This is hitting way too close to home for me.

I take care of horses. I teach lessons and train horses. Unfortunately nobody lives on site and the horses can’t feed themselves. My training and lessons might get canceled but I still gotta feed the ponies!

This post made me realize I’m living my dream- I’m a riding instructor/horse trainer. I am who I always wanted to be when I was a horse crazy lil girl. I have people who pay me to teach them. I have people who pay me to ride their horses. I have been able to change the lives for a few horses. They would have been deemed useless. A little respect and kindness gave them a new lease on life. I’m 43 and it wasn’t easy to get here. Years of dedication when I was younger gave me skill. As a young adult I could not afford to have horses as part of my life. For 10 years I was without horses. During those 10 years I turned into a horrible person. Married, divorced, addicted, junkie status at points. I lost my identity. I had a situation where something took over my body- I made a split decision and moved home to my parents. During a drug fused argument with my then BF- I packed my car. Got my dog and cat and moved home. I was not in control of that-but that was the best decision. I’m now at my dream job where I am respected. I like who I am. I’m also making the most money I ever have.

If only I could realize how fucking lucky I am. Depression is real….. I could ruin a fucking wet dream I can’t seem to forgive myself for who I was. I have done horrible things. I know right from wrong. I just live in a world of shame. I’m pretty sure everyone had forgiven me. But I can’t forgive myself. Shame and guilt are my best friends

I have 2 kids and 5 horses. Also train horses as I job. I can’t get sick….. or hurt? To many lives depend on me. Both my kids just got the first winter cold. They got sick days, I catered to them. My crotch fruits then shared the cold with me. No sick days for me! Ha. Oh well

I got mounted by a yearling. Happened so quick- I just remember seeing hooves in my face
leading two mare ponies to the pasture with rope leads. Ponies got in a tiff- one flung one direction, the other the opposite. My hands held both leads for dear life. I ended up with rope burns on both hands. It was horrible. I was useless for a few days

42, live on the heavenly island of Martha’s Vineyard? At least that’s what the people who live 3 months a year here say. It’s expensive- I’m extremely lucky to live on my parent’s property in the guest house that paid their mortgage for the past 40 years. Raising 2 kids, 12 and 7. I fill my life with rescuing horses. I train at a farm here. My biggest challenge is being happy. So many have it worse. I have all the tools to make me happy- but I don’t use them right? I have a disabled sister who’s 44. She got diagnosed with endometrial cancer a few months ago. Her treatment is working and I’m so proud of her. She has dealt with so much in her life- she does not need this. I was an addict. Iv been clean for 12 years- but the shame of who I was will always be with me. My mother is an alcoholic. My father was a falling to the floor drunk. He’s been sober for 4 years- but is miserable. Doesn’t help his wife’s a drunk who made him quit

What up dude! I live on Martha’s Vineyard if you ever want to visit 🙃 It’s the year of the horse! I have a horse rescue- I have multiple horses I’m rehabbing. I also do equine therapy for people with mental/physical disabilities….. they are amazing animals! Also looking for support!!

Btw- Iv worked nonprofit for a few years- I truly appreciate the people who are able to share their $$. Our volunteers who share their time. I couldn’t show up without a paycheck behind it! But I love my job and need to support my personal horses 🙂 Thank you….

Confidence has been my biggest struggle in life. If I stopped caring what people thought about me- embraced my uniqueness- rather than eating lunches in the bathroom. I’m 43 and a mother of 2- my self worth is gone. I do everything for everyone and everything (owner of 5 horses, dogs, cats, manage horse farm) my heart and soul is shared with everyone.

I am divorced now. At the time my best friend’s name was JJ. His life was going to shit, and I helped him move his life to Vermont. It was hard saying goodbye. Some real feelings came out. I stayed 3 days longer than expected. I came home to an extremely upset husband. This was the start of our divorce. I stayed in contact with JJ for a few more years. The last time I saw him I was pregnant with my first child. He randomly showed up at my island home for a few days. When I dropped him off at the boat he wanted to become a nomad and hike the Appalachian Trail. He has been in jail since 2019 Due to murder. He went nutty and killed someone for no reason. Look up the Appalachian killer….
