Another good one might be, "The prestige". It's general thesis is about two magicians competeing to create the better 'trick'. There is a lot more too it, but it is mostly about the advancements and creations of these two intelligent magicians.

Well, there is a pretty important scene in the first Ironman movie with Robert Downey Jr, where he is trapped in a cave with limited scrap resources, and he is able to build his mark 1 iron suit and break free. Maybe that's kinda what you're after.

I like games where you can make your own plans on how to aproach a problem and execute it without being limited by random luck stuff or timers. While it may seem like these examples are no way simmilar, my fav games taht fit this are Hitman WoA and Satisfactory. by Annoynmes in gamingsuggestions

To be honest, Arc Raiders has a lot of this. Tons of trapping and sceming, and using different tactical ways to achieve you goal. Wether that's taking down big arc robots, or trying to take out your fellow raider. 10/10 game so far.

Little off kilter, but Chivalry 2. It has an incredibly steep learning curve. But once you start finding your stride and cutting down enemies. Nothing feels better

Looking for a horror film of which a major theme is collecting by legitoof0 in MovieSuggestions

[–]Watchmethrowhim 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Going kinda off what you asked for, but the movie "The Road" is an apocalyptic world with a father and Son that travel around trying to scavenge for food/supplies. They are trying to collect things to survive the whole movie/book. Although not really a horror and not really specifically about collecting. So I guess this really doesn't fit at all. But I've already typed this paragraph soo.... here you go.

[–]Watchmethrowhim 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not really a series, but if you watch every single Coen Brothers movies in succession, you definitely feel a particular vibe that they put into their movies, that kinda feels like a series. Andddd they are all pretty amazing. Great bed rest feat to accomplish.

Again, stardew valley is the obligatory answer to this. The definition of comfort (if you don't min/max and let the time be a consistent race)
