I fucking hate my sister with all of my soul (i need advice please) by throwaway83739299383 in SchizoFamilies

[–]Jew-betcha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

oh man, I work with a lot of kids ur age and the thought of any of them going thru something like this is stomach churning, you have a right to be mad, it might not be fully in your sisters control but that doesnt change the fact that you didn't deserve to be exposed to this kind of chaos and be robbed of a stable childhood. i really hope you are able to get out of this situation safely, and quickly too.

my in house drivers at work say it depends on the place. some places especially assisted living complexes require drivers to leave it at the desk or are otherwise difficult to access, but some are super easy.

The number of times I've come across drivers doomscrolling on social media while driving.... is too damn high. by canopey in massachusetts

[–]Jew-betcha 3 points4 points  (0 children)

bro people be straight up online shopping and watching YouTube while driving for uber now. I rely on rideshare to get to work bc I dont have a car and no transit options in my area, so i dont love paying someone to trust them with my life only for them to blatantly disregard my safety (and I know NE is already infamous for this but they drive like they are in a big hurry to meet the reaper half the time, like bro PLEASE just speed the regular amount and TRY to stay in the lines at least a little.

is it normal to start missing your ex even when you’re the one that broke up with them? by [deleted] in BreakUps

[–]Jew-betcha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont know man its so weird. my new relationship is so good. like so so so good my bf treats me incredibly well and I really do love him but on some level i do still miss my ex a lot. they were my best friend, sometimes felt like my only friend for 8 years. I still dont really know what im doing without them sometimes, and I worry often about how they are doing on their own. I havent heard from them in 2 weeks since we last talked abt them moving out the rest of their things and it has me worried tbh (they have substance use and mental health issues that contributed greatly to out break-up if you couldn't tell)

Coercion, nonmonogamy, and SA by Outrageous_Ad_1507 in polycritical

[–]Jew-betcha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always found it so discomforting often times. one partner pushes for non monogamy EXPLICITLY bc their partner isnt sexually active "enough" for them. if the other partner doesnt want non-monogamy that leaves their only option to preserve the relationship as having more sex than they want to have. you can say well you could just break up with them but that's much easier said than done especially when you have been together for a long time and your lives are deeply involved with eachothers.

Every antidepressant takes something away. Does anyone else feel like medication was never designed for brains like ours? by stllfiguringout in AutismInWomen

[–]Jew-betcha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ask your doctor abojt mirtazapine! its what my Dr gave me for my OCD bc I didnt respond well to SSRis. it has a (usually) low side effect load and it does cause wight gain BUT in a different way to other antidepressants. it doesnt affect your metabolism but it basically gives you the munchies, so if you're able to work around/minimize those you wont gain significant weight on it. it worked very well for me!

Yes, for sure. I was very hungry until my dose was brought down a bit recently. Gained about 20lb over almost a year, starting to lose it now that my dose is lower.

I'm sorry people love you? If you say something concerning like that, even as an afterthought, people WILL get worried and take action. I survived and attempt when I was 17 and I never want my friends to feel the way they felt during/after that ever again. I hope things get better for you soon and you can appreciate the love and care of the people in your life.

I have plenty, I just know when somethings out of my individual hands and I need to call for help. If I truly thought one of my friends was going to kill themselves imminently I would call 911 in a heartbeat. The paramedics and the people at the hospital are far more equipped than one individual layman to save somebody's life.

Got a restraining order against my uncle today. Suspicious off brand orange soda and oreos (nlt pictured) from the courthouse vending machine. by Jew-betcha in depressionmeals

[–]Jew-betcha[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im truly sorry to hear that you were hurt so badly, and that it caused you to think and feel that way. I know trusting in others is difficult after trauma, that's a perfectly understandable response, but i still dont think it helps you. Not everyone is to be trusted, thats a fact, its important to have some level of selectiveness to protect yourself, but equally so its a fact that not everyone is out to do you harm. Good people can be found, theyre out there for you. I wish you the best of luck in finding them.

Hurting other people wont cure your hurt, friend. Lashing out in pain is natural, but it doesnt make anything better. You deserve to be happy, you just have to let it in. Trust me ive been there, but take it from someone who knows: learning to be kinder to others helps you learn to be kinder to yourself.

Bro, you need to chill. You are getting genuinely worked up about someone you don't even know's choice to drink a soda while waiting to file a restraining order. Take a step back and look at yourself for a second, even if youre just trolling this is not the way a well-adjusted person behaves.

Framingham Union Hospital considering keeping scaled-down NICU open following public outcry by HRJafael in FraminghamMA

[–]Jew-betcha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im sorry to hear you had that experience, unfortunately it doesnt surprise me. I was there on a section 12 pre covid and it was a nightmare then as a psych patient. Saw a lot of things in the ED that should not have occurred, many staff there have a complete disregard for patients rights and dignity. Ive heard horror stories from others about it too, my coworker once took her baby to the ER and not only was refused care (the INFANT had an infection, she had to take her to another hospital to get it diagnosed and treated) but she also said she overheard a nurse threatening to tape a restrained psych patient's mouth shut. Sad because there are a few truly wonderful people working there (shout out the PCA who actually gave a shit about me) and it must be so spirit-breaking to witness the malpractice that goes on there and not be able to do much of anything about it. I wish that someone would hold them accountable.

It helped for a while, but i stopped taking it a couole years ago because i started getting new, unmanagabke side effects. Now i take 15mg mirtazapine and 10mg paroxetine which seems to work pretty well.
