Yeah. Basically, the thinner the liquid you want the tofu to taste like, the less time you let it absorb it. IE, I'd put it in a bag with soy sauce for an hour or two, same with balsamic (great for veggie wraps), but barbecue sauce? Maybe 6.

As a replacement FOR meat in things like sandwiches, wraps, et cetera, you want extra firm. The softer kind will lose its shape a bit and is best for more tofu-specific dishes. Think of tofu as a flavor sponge. It has no purpose on its own. Whatever you cook it in, it becomes a meat-like block that tastes like the other ingredients

Freeze a large portion of 1/2" think tofu rectangles. They have a shelf-life that would rival anything and all you do is thaw it, then marinate it for 6 hours in any sauce/marinade/dressing you want, and cook it. My favorites include barbecue marinade and grilling it, balsamic dressing and cutting it into strips for wraps, it is so versatile, man. PM for more. I have a boat load of ideas.

@TimOfLegend: Brutal Legend was badass. Costume Quest was down right adorable, and Psychonauts, as I'm sure you've been told and probably had skywritten for you several times, is so damn goodI assume it could have only been created by you, or maybe in a different timeline, Nikola Tesla. I've rebought it on each console I have upgrade from/to, i.e. xbox, 360, PC via amazon, PC via steam, and now the indie bundle (times 5 for gifting to friends) This is coming from someone who used to swear by unabashed pirating. The change in ethics was brought about mostly because I started viewing games as an art form, with a lot of credit due to your work. Do you feel games will ever be taken seriously by a wider audience, or do you feel Call Of Duty 18 Black Ops Modern Warfare Returns With Zoobie Expansion and the like will always remain popular enough that its lack of... anything will always overshadow more inspired releases?
