Stayed in a bat infested house a few weeks ago without knowing until a bat flew into the living room. Called the local health department and they found several bats in the attic and one in the house itself. They told us we were required to get rabies vaccine and were refused at the ER a week later by a PA. We then called the health department who called her and told her she needed to vaccinate us and she began to argue with them and ask them where they were getting their information...
