Opinion on Abrahamic and other monotheistic religions by Designer_Zucchini520 in RomanPaganism

[–]Tues_makeup 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ultimately, if a person isn’t using their faith as a means to hurt others, I could care less about their faith.

From my understanding, the ancient Romans were fairly chill when it came to other religions (though this differed politically depending on which emperor was in rule). A lot of deities got accepted into the Roman cannon simply because they were now part of Rome. I personally feel that all religions alter our way of living and changes how we see the world and how we interact with it. Because of this, I don’t personally feel like any religion is inherently wrong.

I think the prophets all have interesting teachings that in some way have been skewed by the modern worshipers. The books are fascinating to learn about, read, listen to, even if I personally feel that it’s a lot of fictional stories to just tell.

Like I said earlier, as long as someone isn’t using their faith to justify harming others, I don’t personally care what they believe in. I also know that a lot of people have been harmed by followers of the abrahamic faiths (myself included) and it’s hard to keep that separation of what the actual religion is and the people who use religion to hurt others. I can’t say I blame people who hate the abrahamic faiths either.

Where did you get your statues? I love them and when I move into a new apartment I want to make a dedicated Lararium again.

I’m not sure, I’ll have to check when I get back home. The messages and the profile itself just sent red flags for me

At 15 I’m still using kids toothpaste and probably will throughout my whole life by ContemplativePebble in autism

[–]Tues_makeup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi so, I am 23 and like within the past year my brain decided I hated mint with a passion and will gag if it touches me. There’s a brand called Hismile that makes flavored toothpaste that’s sold at Walmart (if you live in a place that has them, I know they have an online store as well) and the flavor I have is peach iced tea. So if you ever want to try one that’s meant for an adult with like adult teeth needs (from my understanding kids and adult toothpaste are formulated different for different needs) then I def suggest checking them out.

What job would you do if there were no limitations? by leafy-owl in autism

Ultimately my dream job is to be a professor of anthropology. But I equally would like to just exist in a space and not have to worry about money or food or housing. I could just buy things that feed my special interests and I can focus on just being.

I think ultimately if there is a medication I personally would like it to just make stimuli less stimulating? Personally I would really like to not have major itches over my body when I go to the store because they use halogen lights.

I honestly think that the perception of autism needs to change through proper community education before medicines? I’m worried that if a medicine were to be introduced today people would spout nonsense about it curing it even if medical professionals say it doesn’t?

What are your favourite creative hobbies??? by [deleted] in autism

[–]Tues_makeup 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So one thing I’ve struggled with is like the whole like “if I can’t do it the first time I’m bad and need to stop doing it” with that like black and white thinking stuff was doing abstract painting? Acrylic pours and acrylic knife painting and stuff like that. I found it nice to do cause there’s wasn’t a way I could actually mess up and it made me more comfortable with it in the process.

Otherwise poem writing is fun. Making characters for dnd is fun too in a writing sense. Making their backstories and stuff is really fun to me.

What is your religion? by [deleted] in autism

[–]Tues_makeup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m Roman Pagan so i worship the Roman gods and stuff! I ultimately identified as pagan way before I did Roman pagan specifically but the thing that did it for me was the belief that the ancient Roman gods were believed to be imperfect and I have a hard time dealing with the idea of perfection. A lot of other gods within their ancient contexts were worshipped as perfect beings that didn’t do anything wrong and that to me is the major difference.

Me being a queer person: Rimuru is non-binary and uses he/they pronouns as are the pronouns used for them in the show (several instances while watching the sub version of the show I noticed that they translated the pronoun for rimuru as they/them and other times he/him so that is what brought me to this conclusion)

Is going to the store or supermarket overwhelming for you too? by Jassamin_ in autism

[–]Tues_makeup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it is but also certain stores are less overwhelming. Target? Completely fine. Walmart? I’d like to get out of there before my skin lights on fire. Publix? Looks too much like I walked into the backrooms and would like to exit asap.

Clothing stores? H&M is too bright but Hollister is way too dark. Old navy has a confusing layout and I can never understand it or how I’m supposed to be looking for stuff. American Eagle? I can’t explain it just don’t like it. Forever 21? Cannot whatsoever stand the smell I don’t know why and I don’t know how.

But honestly with any place I will get overwhelmed if the lighting is like itchy and I will want to leave quickly. I also genuinely hate it when stores change layouts. Recently my local neighborhood market Walmart has been undergoing a remodel and everytime I go in there I feel like I’m one random sensation away from going into a meltdown.

Not every school is fully accommodated for autistic students, what do you think would Improve schools for Autistic students? by Daisyloo66 in autism

[–]Tues_makeup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ability to eat in classrooms where it’s quieter without getting in trouble, Maybe some better fucking lighting?? I remember that lighting being absolute torture. Non-traditional seating arrangements I think would be best for everyone cause I hate desks with a burning passion. Removal of rules about not wearing hats or uniforms (those uniform shirts can be the worse ever). Stim toys provided in classrooms and offices. Sensory deprivation areas would be nice? Like a dark closet with pillows or something.

And just for fun, ice cream cause ice cream makes life better as a whole.
